I noticed there was often a problem of miscommunication between the lifeguard team and the school, sometimes compromising our supervision and care of swimmers, so I discussed its my supervisor and team leaders to suggest it should be a regular thing. I tried to implement another safety initiative, however I did not go about it the right way and didn't plan, communicate or consult my supervisors- instead I just iniated the change myself amongst the other lifeguards. As I had not followed the correct process for implementing change my supervisor felt as if I had gone behind her back and there was many issues.
