I use protopage.com for mine, as it is really just an organized site of tabs with bookmarks to the places I need them to access. I am thinking of changing to a little more involved format, but the protopage was a great place to start.

I like the idea of having students direct their own learning, working at their own pace, and working at their level. It takes out a lot of the guesswork teachers experience when going through a lesson the traditional way, in that students will demonstrate their knowledge and learning through the work that they produce when going through the digital activity. Students choose what activities they will create and work on, and generate work that is at their capabilities.

This helps cater to the various needs and learning styles of our students. I also like how the article mentions having students work within as well as outside of their comfort zones. I think so much learning can happen when students are pushed outside of their comfort zones.

Sandbox Time: Teaching with Tablets, “you have to give teachers some ‘sandbox time’ to play, to experiment, to find out what works and what doesn’t work.” I feel this is also true with students. When students are given sandbox time I am able see possible problems and make a routine or explain expectations to address it with other classrooms too.

I have also noticed Google Classroom has made lessons very easy... especially when students are absent. It eliminates the "what did we do yesterday?" question (for the most part). If I can make it a necessity for my students, I believe I can create more independency for students which gives more time for me to answer questions on other things.
