(JPC) I live 5 minutes from the University of Hertfordshire. The streets and the people are very friendly, and the aesthetic of the town itself were very important facts to leave a good impression on myself and on my family. The good ambient and vivid nature that I see on my daily walks are very effective in setting my morning mood as an active and inspired student, ready for another day of work. It's truly an amazing adventure everyday.

I live in Luna, Fusion Students. It's a private luxury student accomodation right across the De Havilland Campus. Living here has really impacted my university experience so far as a first year international student as i have been able to meet other international students through the weekly events organized by Luna. Aside that, there are many facilities available here such as a free 24/7 gym, study rooms, social spaces, karaoke room, games room and so much more. This has made my experience in Hertfordshire so far very worthwhile. With its proximity to the De Hav campus; where my classes are mostly held it has taken away the stress of commuting to class as it is just a 1 minute walk away, So in all, I would like to say living here has made a significant positive impact of my UoH experience especially as an international student.

Living on campus (de Hav) in my first two years was convenient and safe and made going to classes a lot easier than travelling. It also made it a lot easier to meet new people because everyone else is there too. Living off campus for my third year is a lot quieter and more excluding, but is cheaper and makes money management a lot easier. Both options have their benefits but experiencing both types of accommodation makes for the best experience in my opinion - KS

For the majority of international students, going to university mean living away from their home for the first time. Hence having a place to call home when I'm studying overseas is essential . Living on De Havilland campus's student accommodation which designed to give a safe, secure and inspiring place to live while I'm study at here. It also widen my social knowledge outside of the classroom because you have a chance to get to know students from all over the world with varied life experiences. Since living on campus, attending co-curricular club activities is easy. I can visit the important amenities easily such as library, restaurant and sports village can be found nearby. It allow me access to activities as well as amenities. With student service teams, accommodation officers and friendly staffs dedicated to looking after my well-being, combined with a supportive campus community where I can focus on my studies. Living on campus affords me the full spectrum of university experience. I will definitely remember this place. - WJ

However, this has put me out of my comfort zone and started to mingle and get along with different kinds of people. Also, the facilities that are available on campus are really good, and I am glad the De Havilland is getting more benefits on the campus with the new building on the way. I believe living on campus really and truly heightens a students university experience because there is more to university than the degree. - ND
