Today, I realized once more what a tremendous importance the reflection has in relation to all key competences. From physics, reflection means throwing back waves at an interface. At the same time, this picture illustrates for me the process of further development through the forward as well as the retrospective view when the water flows back.

Everything takes its time ... even the preparation of a grill plate ... (which I did not ordered)

"You need time to process!"

We presented the key competences and ways to develop them. Then we analyzed Erasmus + objectives and priorities bearing in mind the need to prepare an international policy for our school and opportunities to prepare a KA 2 project.
Internationalization offers a lot of opportunities to our students, having the possibility of learning differently, with different people, makes all the difference.
By now we have some knowledge of each other and that’s good to start a partnership.
By now, we all communicate in foreign language, mostly English, but also “Franglish”.
"Je n’enseigne pas, je raconte.” Montaigne, XVIe siècle. World keeps changing, somethings stay fairly the same....

1. In order to really advance a project it is very helpful to write it down and have it approved. In an emergency, you can rely on it and it is helpful to have the goals clear.
2. The goals that you want to pursue may have come from your own experience, but what is really important is: What is the use of it for the students?
3. You have to come into action. All plans are useless if you do not try to implement them.

Quote of the day: What is the use of it for the students?

Today we talked about how to internationalise school Curriculum.
In a globally connected world with the Internet being present in our daily work, it is important to prepare students for this work life.

To learn other languages, it is important to have a good foundation in your mother tongue. The better the vocabulary and grammar, the easier it is to learn other subjects and other languages. To learn languages, the most important thing is to use them. Only then you learn the language well. One example: Shopping in French. People react very nicely and speak very slowly when they notice that you're trying to speak their language. This is much better on the island than on the continent in France.

I also thought about how we can internationalise our curriculum. An important part of this can certainly be played by the foreign language teachers, as they already have contacts to schools in other countries. I would like to be a founding member of new international projects our school participates in.

In terms of focus, I would like to use the countries from which I have students in the classes. My classes are very international and this could be used here.

The internationalization of the curriculum is to create international cooperation actions inside and outside the EU.
Meeting the goals and objectives set by Erasmus + allows us to fully implement this internationalization.
Thus the creation of transnational projects is fundamental for the development of the global citizenship that we intend for our students.
