Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is emerging as a public health crisis that is disproportionately impacting Black communities in the United States and is an issue that needs immediate attention. Black people have higher rates of CVD and tend to develop this condition at an earlier age than non-Hispanic white populations. By the year 2060, projected rates of CVD are expected to increase significantly in the U.S., disproportionately affecting Black people. The webinar will cover potential solutions, including how policy makers can take action to reverse the trend.
