Can a book series about a twelve year old teenage girl with anger issues satisfy you? If yes, Enid Blyton’s Malory Towers saga might surprise you! I have read this since last year. It is really dramatic! Enid Blyton’s “Malory Towers, First Term at Malory Towers”, which was published in 1946, introduces us to Darrel Rivers, a kind hearted girl that has anger issues. She got into a boarding school, the decision which will make her new school life and adventures more interesting. 

The main character, Darrel is a twelve year old girl who got into a boarding school. Stepping out from the train she got on, she feels shy after seeing the top form girls who are wearing Malory Towers’ uniform. Suddenly, happy voices can be heard behind her, she turns behind and looks at them, realising she isn’t the only younger form here! Right when she gets on the train, a girl approaches and sits with her on their way to Malory Towers, whose name is Alicia. Darrel befriends Alicia quickly when it is only the first day of school! 

One of the most captivating characters in the series that I admired is Alicia. She has bright eyes and her hair is as black as ebony. She is mainly the joker in the form and also well known for her sharp tongue! One day, Darrel had requested Alicia to prank on Mam’zelle Dupont, one of the two French mistresses in Malory Towers, and so she did. Alicia pretends to be deaf and does not hear what Mam’zelle teaches. It led the whole class laughing but Mam’zelle was bothered by it. After Mam'zelle realises it is a prank, Alicia almost angers her and disappoints her. I love how mischievous she is！

There was this scene that I liked the most, where Darrel and Sally quarrell. But what happened? Darrel knows Sally has a little sister and asks Sally about it. But Sally ignores Darrel while Darrel keeps asking. To elaborate, one Saturday, Malory Towers holds an event for students there to meet their parents. Darrel is on cloud nine since she was really excited to see her parents come in and she walks with them as she talks about what happened during those days. And there she sees Sally all alone, she realises her parents aren’t there. She asks her about it, but she ignores her and walks away. That evening, Darrel doesn’t see Sally after she disappeared. Darrel's parents are strolling around the school, so she went to look for Sally. She stops in front of a room and hears melodious music. She immediately opens the door gently without knocking. There Sally is, playing the piano sensually. Darrel asks the question that she keeps repeating, but Sally doesn’t answer. Darrel sighs in frustration as she asks firmly. But, she only gets the answer from her is to tell her to get out and get pushed away by Sally blindly. Darrel can’t bear her anger anymore, she shoves Sally back with all her might. It sent her flying across the room. Not only Sally is hurt on her back, her stomach is in extreme pain. Darrel realises she went across her temper as she quickly tries to find her and beg for forgiveness but Sally was nowhere to be seen…

Not all chapters can satisfy us, some chapters can start or end in a negative way. For example, chapter 14 in First Term at Malory Towers book, Darrel sees Gwendoline’s parents and Gwendoline. Darrel walks up to them and introduces herself while Gwendoline looks at her in suspicion. Seems like Darrel is having a great talk with her parents and Darrel slowly talks about what Gwendoline did during the school days. Gwendoline’s face changed from suspicion to embarrassment. Gwendoline quickly stood up for herself. But whenever Gwendoline talks, her face is getting redder from time to time since Darrel keeps talking about what she did. After that, she was glad that she could escape from them. That is the scene where I thought that Gwendoline will change her attitude. But, did she? Nope.. her attitude is still the same as always. I wished Gwendoline had changed her spoiled attitude into a kind hearted person like the other characters. 

“First Term at Malory Towers” is not only an interesting book about Darrel’s school life, it also teaches us to control our anger, not to be too proud of something that we do not know how to do, friendship, and other life lessons. I would definitely recommend this book because it also shows us that we can find new friends even when we are in a new school like how Darrel befriends Sally even after those arguments or physical fights in her new school. This book will definitely match your taste!

When the old woman and Kylie got in the bus, no one wanted to let the old woman and Kylie sit on the seat. The old woman and Kylie was very sad and the old woman started to drop an eye tears. An accident happened out of a sudden, an accident happened a car banged on to the bus. The alarm deafening honk at everybody ears. The bus tries to swerve to the side but it was to late, the bus skidding for a short distance. The old woman that had no seat, she fell down to the ground and a podgy man fell on top of her. She groaned in pain and her face turn pale. When kylie saw it she shouted in the bus because the old woman has blood bleeding out.

Kylie pushed away through the crowd, she tried to pushes the podgy man, but it was to no avail. I got your message last month and have been meaning to reply—I’ve just been swamped with SPM prep. Right now, I’m studying a lot, which is both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking since it’s finally so close. Every day, I’m reviewing different subjects, but I feel like there’s always more to cover.

Thinking back, I kind of miss those days when I could sleep in and just enjoy life without worrying about exams. At the beginning of SPM prep, I felt really overwhelmed. There were so many topics, and I honestly didn’t know where to start or how to catch up. But now that I’ve settled into the routine, I’m really hoping that all this effort will pay off with good results.

Once SPM is over, I have so many plans! I’d love to travel, even if it’s just nearby, and I’m finally going to get my driver’s license. It’ll be amazing to have that kind of freedom.

When Katie was marching back home, she was under the scorching hot sun. On the way home, the girl saw a group of teenagers bullying her classmates who had made fun of her earlier. Later that night, she decided to try out the new paint brush she bought. Excitement and curiosity filled her thoughts before she dipped the paint brush into the sky blue-coloured paint. “A brush that needs to be careful, huh?” She laughed, feeling amused. Then, she started making strokes on the canvas effortlessly, different colours blending perfectly against the surface of the canvas, creating her very own masterpiece. In the middle of the night, the wooden easel shook slightly on the wooden floor, along with the painting. The painting began forming and blending, until it suddenly stopped. “Lena…” a whisper echoed out of nowhere. The sound made her wake up slightly, but she brushed it off. “Lena…” and it echoed again. This time, she finally woke up, letting out a groan of annoyance. “What was that…?” she murmured, sitting herself up on the bed. She glanced to her left, noticing something wrong. The canvas was still there, but the painting was not the one she painted earlier. She stood up from her bed, walking closely as she rubbed her eyes. She stood in front of the painting. It was now a portrait, a person who looked familiar, the person she knows so well that went missing years ago — her childhood friend, Aaron. “Find me…” she then realised, the whispers came out from the painting. She stood there, frozen in shock. She could not believe this, the voice, the portrait, everything. It just did not seem right…

She scanned the painting, the background behind Aaron was a forest. It seemed familiar… When the realisation hit her, it was the forest behind her house. The only way to save her one and only childhood friend was to investigate this case. She dressed in her casual outfit, gathered her torch from the drawer and her phone as she made her way out the house and off to the forest. She switched on the flash from her torchlight, heading her way in the forest and the sky was unseen from the lush trees upon her head. It was getting even darker as she strolled in deeper and deeper. “Whoosh…” the wind blew, forming a shiver going down her spine. And then footsteps can be heard from the bushes. “Who’s that?” she called out, swinging her torch left to right, towards the direction of the bushes. Silence… She let out a deep breath before continuing strolling deeper. “Lena…” a voice echoed her name through the forest. “Huh…” her head moved side to side, like a deer caught in headlights. She felt uneasy and called out “Aaron?” her voice echoed through the forest before her name got called out again. She followed the direction where she heard the voice, her torch light leading the way. Instead of walking, she sprinted, as she tried to find him as fast as she could.

She sprinted around, finding her way to look for him, like a never-ending maze. She stumbled upon a deep forest valley, peering down from above. She saw a presence behind an old tree. Without hesitation, she climbed down carefully, avoiding the rocks. She then landed on the ground, approaching the tree slowly. Her heartbeat slightly calmed down, but still nervous. The head from the person turned back, and she stopped walking. The memories of them running in her mind, they glanced at each other, feeling excited and nervous that they finally met. She then continued to approach him, reaching out her arms as if ready to hug him. Unexpectedly, fate was cruel. Darkness took over her, her heart stiffened at the sight. As she blinked, she was brought back to her own room. She was still laying on her bed, in her nightgown. She was back here, still alright as if nothing tragedious happened just now. “Huh…” She then glanced at the painting, it was still the sunset one. She furrowed her eyebrows, nothing really happened? All these were dreams? The next day, she brought her sunset painting to the competition. Everyone admired her painting, and she was announced as the winner of the competition. But little did she know, the brush that was placed on the table in her house, gleamed brightly…

This was our first offline event, a Japanese cultural event in Nippon Syokudo, Taman Desa, meant to bring English into the real world! We've been learning so much grammar, vocabulary, and writing techniques in online classes, so this was an attempt to bring English offline - giving everyone the chance to utilize it in a physical, real-world setting.

I'm so proud of everyone! Our princesses, dragons, and dinos - all playing a wonderful part in making their nekos come alive (wishing for it to do their homework), listening attentively to the Japanese information and my grandma stories, having such fun chatting over lunch, competing (and winning me) in a custom maneki neko mission game (kudos to everyone for being able to interact with strangers!!!), and lastly, of course, for bargaining and negotiating with me - and ending up bringing your passports home!

The red little hen and the blue little bird made the wheat into the bread. They made a dough in the oven. The dog, a cow and pig smelt the bread in the oven. They smelled the fresh bread and felt it was so fragrant. They asked can we eat this bread. The hen said no because they did not help her. 

The little blue bird had an idea, The little blue bird suggested a deal to help to make a bread for next time. The cow, pig and dog agreed, they felt guilty good they promised to them. Everyone ate together they shared the tasty big bread. 

They need to help even though they may have conflict and problems. The cow, pig, and dog learn when someone asks for help, try your best to help. 

“Who wants to help me plant wheat?” said the little red hen, the lazy pig said “not me, I'm sleeping “ . The lazy dog said “ not me I’m watching TV” and the lazy cow said “not me I’m in the toilet” . But the excited blue hen said “yes I can” and the two hens started to plant wheat , watered the plant wheat and waited for the plant wheat to grow up. But the other animals just watched and they didn't offer to help the two hens. The little blue hen carried seed and water to plant wheat. The two hens work hard together.The blue hen thinks the three animals are very lazy because they don’t want to help.

Someday later, the wheat was done and the little red hen and little blue hen worked together to ground the wheat into the flour and they finally mixed it to a dough and they put the dough in the oven. And the bread was about to be ready.The pig , dog and cow smelled the smell of fresh bread spread and fragrant.The dog, pig and cow asked the little red hen “can I have some of your bread” said the little pig, dog and cow. “But you guys didn't help us.” Said the angry little red hen.

“But I have an idea”, said the little blue hen. “If you guys want to eat the bread you guys need to help next time.” The cow,pig and dog agreed and they were very guilty but they promised at last ,everyone ate together they shared and the two hens chirped very happily at the end.

The little hen learns it is always good to help each other even though you don’t like each other. The pig, dog and cow learn when someone needs to help try your best to do so.

A day, one lion eat a mouse and after one months he sick and die. So, if you eat me you have the same action as the lion.

So the chief mouse, determined to bring change to the species, set out on a journey to meet a wizard. Through the jungles he walked, through the rivers he swam, through the hills he climbed. Finally, he met the wizard.

"Help me! The lion is eating the entire mice family!"

The weasel is too excited to eat this mouse and create tasty mouse soup so he decides to find the things the mouse said. The mouse called him, "Wait! You must also find a log! Because logs are salty so it balances out the tastes and make the soup tastier!"

Excited, the weasel runs away quickly. While he is finding the ingredients, he forgets to lock his door...

The mouse jumped out the pot and follows the weasel happily. Now safe, he gets to see the weasel's shocked face when he notices the pot is empty!

Quite a messy situation you have involved in. There is some advice I have thought of.

Firstly, you should tell the teacher who is in charge of your dorm. So, the teacher can discuss with you and her together about the problem you're having. Perhaps you could set a chore task table. Both of you will work together to clean up the dorm once week.

The mouse pushed the big pot to the weasel body then the mouse escaped.

The weasel looked back, “what noise is that” he asked. “OMG did the pot break?" said the weasel, the weasel shocked ” The weasel needed to clean up but he also needed to catch the mouse but the mouse had already run away. In my opinion, students should manage their own time properly. This may make life easier. They can make a timetable so they could know when to study and when they have to take a break. If they are able to manage their time, their future college lives will be less challenging!

Once  upon a time Ethan was in the library studying for his early exam. He found a book on a shelf that was dusty and old. When he opened the book with a dark red wooden key with old patterns  he took the key in his hands “oh my will this be  dangerous”. MALAYSIA — In a surprising twist to one of the world’s most famous fairy tales, the Big Bad Wolf has come forward claiming that he has been wrongly accused for generations.

In a letter sent to The Star yesterday, the Wolf wrote, “I’m tired of being called the Big Bad Wolf. I never meant to hurt anyone! I was just hungry and misunderstood.” He also mentioned that the stories told by Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs “did not show the full picture.”

According to the Wolf, the incident with Grandma was a “medical emergency.” He explained, “I only went into Grandma’s house to check on her because she looked unwell. Next thing I knew, people were shouting that I ate her!” As for the pigs, he insisted that he wasn’t trying to destroy their homes, but “just sneezed because of a bad cold.”

Local animal experts have mixed reactions. Dr. Flora Wong, a wildlife researcher, said, “It’s possible the Wolf’s story has been exaggerated over time. Wolves are not naturally bad, they’re just part of nature.”

Meanwhile, residents in Fairyland remain cautious. “He might sound friendly,” said one of the Three Little Pigs, “but I’m still keeping my door locked.”

The Wolf says he hopes to clear his name and start fresh. “I want to open a bakery,” he shared at the end of his letter. “Maybe if people try my apple pies, they’ll see I’m not so bad after all.”

When she painted until very enthralled, she accidentally painted herself. After that, the magic suddenly happened. Lena felt super dizzy and she fell down. When she woke up, she had teleported to another world. It is a century away from Earth. It is more modern than Earth.” WHERE AM I!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS THIS PLANET!!!!! HOW DID I COME HERE????!?!?!?!” Lena shouted in the town.

Until one day, she woke up in a strange, lifeless world. When she woke up, she put out her hand. Her surroundings were very fluffy! Looking down,it was white. She fell down and shouted “AHHHHH!“ and luckily she fell on a tree. She saw many robots, AI and factories. The sound was mechanical, and she heard programmed sounds of robots communicating with each other. It was very stinky because robots and AI can’t smell. She felt fear, confusion and hopelessness. She became a beggar when she reached this world. She was riddled with hunger everyday to spend her money on the paintbrush. She wandered around to search the shop in her free time everyday. She felt despair, exhaustion and loneliness. Her dream in this world was to find the vendor, buy a paintbrush and return to Earth.

 She searched every nook and cranny to find the vendor. Finally, she spent enough money and founded the vendor at the same time. She bought the paintbrush and some paint and suddenly “PHEW”. Lena’s back to Earth! When she woke up, she’s in a room that is dusty. She was excited and drove her car to visit her parents, because she had spent 3 years in the world. Her dream is to become like Da` Vinci. The next day, she found the vendor and she saw a girl bought the same paintbrush as her. “Oh no” she muttered under her breath as she walked away…

under this sunlight, Lena sweated from head to toe. This worn out store that sold paintbrushes was filled with earthy smell of wood. Lena’s fingers brushed against and she stopped at an intricately carved paintbrush.” I feel like this paintbrush is full of magic” said Lena. Vendor’s eyes glint with excitement. He warned Lena this is dangerous but Lena shrugged it off. She decided to purchase the paintbrush and was eager to test it. She felt excited because this paintbrush drew by itself.”A magical paintbrush?” she chuckled. “ Interesting”.

             Suddenly, a black shadow appeared. Lena’s heart pounded in fear. She stood rooted in a corner. “ Don’t be scared Lena, I won’t hurt you,instead, I will teach you how to draw an unusual drawing.” said the black shadow.” really?” said Lena with a delighted smile. The black shadow told Lena about the history of the magical paintbrush. Lena gradually noticed that the black shadow was a famous artist that had passed away. Day after day, the brush danced across the canvas and created an example of an extraordinary drawing.”Wow,what a fantastic drawing!” said Lena.

               Soon, Lena started to sell her drawings. Many people from overseas came to her country just to buy her talented drawings. She became more famous and wealthy.One day, the black shadow’s presence got weaker and weaker.” I hope you enjoy your own talent.” said the Black shadow with a smiley face. The black shadow faded. Lena felt thankful for the black shadow and she knew that she didn’t borrow the talent ,but she earned her talent.

That night , when she was painting she saw the brush moving smoothly, it made colours by itself and the picture looks very nice. She felt very scared. Her hand trembled as she was feeling scared. At night when she was about to sleep she heard soft whispers. At first she thought it was just her imagination , but the whispers were very clear and called her name. Then something big happens: the painting showed her missing friend Aaron and the painting tells her to find it. She was very scared and shocked. 

The next day, Lina followed the pictures and found something important in Aaron's diary “ I found your friends” Lena whispered as the brush turned to dust. Lena found the missing friends Aron was in the woods and Aron fainted. Lena took him to the hospital and finally he was found. 

As she went home she started to paint and the brush moved very smoothly. Later on, the colours mixed by themself when she painted and it was too perfect. Lena was scared she felt her hand trembling as she heard soft whispers at night. The whisper got clearer and called her name and then her missing friend Aaron  was painted by the paintbrush. The painting told her to find him. She felt scared and frightened.

The next morning she followed the picture and found her friend Aaron's diary. It was very important. Lena then whispered back as the brush turned into dust she whispers “youre scaring me” while trembling . Then he was found lying under the tree looking pale. Lena called the ambulance and brought him to the hospital. He woke up and saw lena and thanked her. She was happy that he was alive.
