I really like how we are able to work with the people sitting around us to do problems and think through the questions posed in class. If I could change anything, I think giving us more practice to do outside of class might help. After the first exam I realized that I need to work a bit faster, and I think extra practice will help with that.

One thing i really like about the class is how engaging the professor is with the students, it really helps me to learn and understand the material instead of just taking the class for good grades. The only thing I would change about the class is more time on exam or shorter exam, even though i felt like i thoroughly knew all the material i felt rushed and made silly mistakes i could have avoided if i had time to look it over

One thing that I like about the class is how we have activities that involve working with the people around us. I feel that is very engaging and helpful to learning the material. One thing I would change about the course would probably having more practice problems for the more technically demanding questions so that we would be able to work through those problems faster on the exam.

I do appreciate our Professor being very thorough about all the topics and the pace of the class is just right. Also there are enough materials and practices following up each lecture so we get good grasps of the materials. Nice in-class activities and group interactions to keep everyone engaged. I guess the only thing I would recommend is a set date due date for HWs so it is easy to keep track, I personally missed couple because I did not check MEL in time.

One thing I like about this class is the in-class activities and post-class activities. They really help with making sure I understand the topics. One thing I would change is the length of the exam (terms of time or questions). Had I had extra time to look over my exam questions, I would have saved myself a lot more points rather than feeling rushed to finish it in time.

One thing that I like about the class is how many practice opportunities we have and concept checks, such a post class activities, my Econ lab homework, sample tests, and the in class activities. These assignments help me really understand what I need to work on and help me grasp the types of problems faster. One thing I would change about the course is having more collaborative activities like the wipe board activity and the chocolate activity.

One thing I like about the class is the amount of practice we have access to in order to fully understand a concept. Not only that but engaging with our peers for in-class activities is encouraged. This is extremely beneficial for most students because they can talk to others and figure their way around a problem instead of being stuck and not knowing what to do. One thing that I would change about this class is the amount of time we were given on the exam. If that is not possible, I would decrease the number of questions. I felt that I understood the material pretty well and I also did practice problems to prepare for the exam, but I was still rushed to the point where my exam remained unfinished when the time was called.

I like the time our Professor takes to clearly explain everything in class, as well as the example problems we go over in groups, I feel I leave each class with a good understanding of the material.

I agree with others about the timing on the exams, while I was able to get it done on time it required me to guess on some of the multiple choice because I didn't have the time to think them through fully. I feel the number of graphing/calculation problems was fine, if there were 30 MC problems instead of 40 I think the timing would have been perfect.

1) I like the pace of the class, and how interactive it is. I like that there are problems at the end of class to determine your understanding.
2) I would prefer a longer exam review than the last exam, and would prefer more practice problems for the exam if possible, such as multiple choice questions more similar to the exam.

The class is engaging. It seems the lessons are tailored to the engagement level on a given day, and I appreciate that adaptability. She wants everyone to succeed.

I like that the class is engaging and full of activities that help us test what we learned. The PCAs, ICAs and the MEL assignments do help. I think the class is going a little more fast paced now after the midterm. It would be great if we got lesser questions on the next exam, since it was challenging to keep up with the time constraint. It would also be helpful if the professor solved more problems during class.

One thing I like about the class is the in class blue book activities we do. It is a good way to engage in the class material and learn while also gaining good practice. I would not change much about the class at all, I enjoy the class and the material. I would make it so that blue book activities happen at the end of class so we have more time to finish them.

The best thing in the class is the specific content. With the activities and the example, we could understand the point in a easy way. For the rest of the class, I would take more time to review and get a better grade next time.

One thing I like about the class is the activities. The Post class activities and In class activities allow us to understand the topics. It gives more ways to study for the exam. One thing I would change is having less questions of the exam. People would have more time to look at their answers.

One thing I like about this class is class activities, which helps me to keep in the track for each class, as well as to communicate with other students in the class. I like that the class features assignments such as the post-class activities which help to reinforce concepts we cover in class. I also like the handouts used in class and actively completing them together. I think recently the class has been focusing primarily on theory which some students might not know how to apply to questions on the homework, quizzes, or even exams. I think more, practical in-class problem solving would help these students.

Surprisingly, I thought I was going to struggle a lot with this class due to how heavily calculus based it is. However, one thing I like about this class is that the fact that we do a lot of practice problems that allow us to get a grasp of the concepts at hand. I also appreciate the peer activities that we do in class. Talking with your peers when you are confused truly helps because they can explain things on a different level. On that note, I would appreciate more exam prep around exam time. I think if we did in-class review with our peers, I would personally benefit a lot more. On top of that, I did not like the length of the exam, I felt like I was rushing to do all of the questions in the hour and twenty minutes. Other than that, I appreciate how this class runs and allows me to understand microeconomics from a mathematical standpoint.

My favorite part about this class is surprisingly the in-class activities because it ensures we leave class having learned the material for the day. For this reason, this class is actually my favorite class this semester out of 6, and I would not change anything about the way it is run.

One thing I like about the class is the in class examples. It gives extra practice problem sets. Something I would change for the class is the amount of time we have to complete the in-class assignments as well as a better white-board system. It's very difficult to see what is on the board even from closer distances.

One thing I like about the class is the pacing of the class. The pace is not too fast or slow. I also liked the in class activities. I like that this course offers a lot of opportunities to learn a concept and fully grasp it, like with PCAs and ICAs and class discussions. I also like that the professor engages the class in group activities, it adds an aspect to the class we couldn't previously receive online. If I could change one thing it would be to have more time on exams and more opportunities to see problems that would look more like the open ended exam questions-- the study guide is certainly useful but that extra opportunity to practice-- even if its optional, makes the difference that we can't get on MEL.

I really enjoy having the blue books and problems that we work on with the people around us, and all the opportunities we have to practice and earn points in the class so that our grade is not solely determined by 2-3 tests. Also, I like how the professor asks questions and it feels okay to say the wrong answer because she responds constructively but not demeaning to it, it really creates a better learning environment. There isn't really anything I would change, except if anything it could be more interactive, although it is already relatively interactive, especially compared to other economics classes. Also, I see some people mentioned more time on the exam, and I think that would be helpful or just to clarify what work we need to show to not lose points because some questions felt very straight forward where there needs to be no work, but I used a lot of time to show some anyways so I would not lose points.

I like how the professor is very interactive with the class. It really helps for exams that we go over a-lot of practice problems in class. It really allows me to understand the topics. Fo me personally I love howe we used calculus since I was very good at calculus as a freshman. Makes the class easier. One thing I would change about the class is the timing. AT night I get very tired and daze off. If the class was earlier in the day i feel I would be a lot more focused. Overall, I love the class atmosphere and I am glad I chose this course.

I really like the activities and extra credits the professor gives us. We went through a lot of exercises in the class that is really useful for the study. This really allows me to understand these questions. I like the way we use calculus because I was very good at math in my first year. Lighten up the hour. The one thing I want to change about this course is time. I am very tired and dizzy at night. Generally, I like the classroom and I am glad that I chose this course.

1. I really like how the material is explained in the class. We go over many problems and examples which makes it much easier to understand the concepts. I find it very helpful to do an example on my own after we analyze the topic in classroom and after trying by myself, analyzing it with the entire class.
2. What I wish would be different is definitely the amount of time on the exam and the amount of the review. During our first midterm I had enough time to only very quickly answer all of the questions without even fully analyzing them. I also didn't have the time to check my answers even once, which was very stressful and affected my result.

What I like about the class are how there are things like the post class and in class activities. I feel like they both help me out try and get a better understanding of what we learned.

The one thing I would like to change is perhaps maybe more group activities, or more engaging activities. The past times we had done it I felt like it was a fun way to learn the material, while engaging with our fellow classmates.

Something I really like about this class is how concise the slides are. They are really useful and if I'm ever confused about something, I can usually find the answer in the slides. I also like how much time we are given to do the homework assignments. I cannot think of anything I would change about this course, it is very well organized.

I like this class, and the professor’s teaching is very specific. The professor explained and made sure each students understand the example questions. The in-class work also helps me to learn. What I like about this class is the straightforward and easily digestible presentation of the key concepts, and the frequent examples of arithmetic concepts before they are asked to be completed for grading. One thing I would change about the class is the extreme reliance on powerpoints in favor of more practical examples and modern real world applications of the concepts we're talking about.

My favorite thing I like about the class is the straightforward, and very clear way that it is taught, as well as how clear the slides can be. They are extremely helpful, and of course, having a professor that can clearly explain the ideas to the class, as well as engage us, is the best. One thing about the class I would change would be the exams/homework. While the exams were relatively similar to the class, the homework is portrayed in a different, almost confusing way. Also, the speed at which we switch between ideas, sometimes it feels as if it is a little too fast.

1) I really like the way we have to complete problems based on the material we learned in class that day at the end of the lecture. It keeps me tuned into the material because I know that class isn't fully over until I've proved my knowledge and solved a problem that required its application.

2) Given that we can't have our laptops in class(which makes it very hard for people without an easy-access printer to keep the slides in front of us), I would prefer that the slides are either moved through slower or, if possible, have the previous slide be displayed on one of the screens while the next one is explained. That would make it easier to balance recording useful info from the slides as well as absorbing equally important material from the lecture itself.

Dr. Sue Bhuyan is nice. She took the chocolate and GMO product to make me impressed with the content of the class. I felt the course is never bored me.

1. I enjoy the layout of the class and the graded blue book problems because they help me identify if I am doing anything wrong as I'm progressing through the chapters. Also the professors explanations help immensely vs. the book's explaining.
2. I would possibly change the exam rules on the syllabus. I was absent for the exam, and although it was excused which I appreciate, not being able to make it up shifts a lot of weight towards the second exam. I do feel disadvantaged because other students have seen what the exam is like and how the questions are structured and I do not know. Other than that the course is great.
