It has been a while since we talked. I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share some thoughts I've been having as well as a few pictures of my home town.

El Paso was a mixture of beauty and scenery. It seems a great place to walk around and think, and many famous people have done just that here. I was very content as I climbed the Franklin Mountains and walked alongside the poppy fields along the mountain  In the cafés, I watched the groups of varying ages and genders engage in lively conversation. It made me wish I spoke the Spanish language. They took their time, picking at crumbs of food as they laughed and had fun. 

The food in El Paso was divine and it was a great place to challenge my thinking as well. The people were so friendly and the culture was pleasant.  I could see how people fall in love with this community and enjoy it so much.  It is very far away from other major cities in Texas, but El Paso is very large with Juarez, MX and Las Cruces, NM right along it side.  

Since I know you studied History, I'd love to know your thoughts on El Paso, Texas. I do hope you and I can experience El Paso together as a class one day.
