This empire is the Mongol Empire and they brought Europe, China, and the Islamic World into direct contact with one another. This caused culture, technological innovations, and goods to travel all over the empire. The empire also caused the silk road to flourish due to the heavy trade.</div>]]></description>

The Bantu people brought their agricultural economy with them as they migrated and spread their knowledge of agriculture to hunter-foragers.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1839, Britain saw the Chinese ban on opium as a direct threat. As a result, Britain and China went to war over Britain's right to sell opium in China. The Chinese lost the war and ended up negotiating for a treaty. The Treaty of Nanking extended foreigners' rights to trade from the Canton trading-port to four other Chinese ports. This crushed Chinese pride and caused the Chinese to loose faith in their country.</div>]]></description>

Luther represented the commoners in this thesis and spread his reformation ideas through the printing press. Luther also challenged the idea that the Roman Catholic Church could rid you of your sins. He believed that salvation only came through faith. </div>]]></description>

Deism is the belief that a rather abstract Deity created the world, but not a personal god who intervened with the world. The Enlightenment was heavily influenced by philosophers like John Locke, Jean-Jaques Rousseau, and Montesquieu. These philosophers influenced ideas like natural rights, checks and balances, and that people are corrupted by society. Women's roles were also questioned.</div>]]></description>

Within these societies, some people would burn mills and hold strikes, which made the upperclass fearful.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1789, French soldiers were returning back to France spreading their new ideas of a republic and France was almost bankrupt. So, Louis XVI called the Estates General which barley represented the commoners (the third estate). The clergy, nobility, and commoners each had a representative even though commoners made up 98% of the population. As a result, the third estate organized their own system, the National Assembly, allowing themselves to make laws for the country. So, the French Revolution was driven by the sharp conflicts in society and unfair representation in the political system.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Within the Qing Dynasty, the political organization was similar to the Mongols in that the highest positions were given to Manchus. Also civil service exams also determined who entered scholar ranks. Furthermore, they were tightly controlled at the center and had two emperors, Kangxi and Qianlong, who helped keep the empire together for 130 years. Even though it was a solid empire, separation within was encouraged between the Manchu and Chinese.</div>]]></description>

It was like a pyramid and at the top was the king and church holding the most power. On the second tier there was nobility that provided the king military aid and money. The third tier was the knights who served the kingdom. The last tier was the peasants and commoners who had the least amont of rights even thought they made up most of the population.</div>]]></description>
