For the black paint I actually used a dish brush! I pressed and lifted it off the paper to create a look like it had almost been flicked onto the page like you would with a paintbrush, this was to represent the majority of all the beads. Then, to add some colour I used watercolour paint to add some individual beads around the outside. At first I found It quite tricky as It was hard to do anything with it, however I then discovered if you loaded the end of the paintbrush with paint it was much easier! I made the twigs a different colour to the flowers as in my opinion It makes it contrast and stand out much more. I also layered some colours on top of each other (as you can see on the leaves) as I wanted to experiment and see what effect it would come out with. Using the back of a paintbrush I firstly roughly marked out all the twigs. I did the twigs in different colours as I think it allows you to clearly see where they all intercept and cross over. Then, I started to add texture to the twigs by taking the paintbrush end again and choosing a different colour and working into the twigs. I'm really pleased with the way this turned out I think it works really well. I then noticed on the twigs that there was some knots, so I took the back of a whiteboard marker and dipped it in the paint, then I pressed it upon the piece like a kind of stamp. I also think this worked out well. Finally, I used the oil pastels to contrast the twigs and add shadow the piece to make it look like the twigs weren't just floating in mid air. How did you create designs?
To create designs I made a lino stencil with a Christmas tree. I then collaborated with another member of my class who had also done a lino of a Christmas tree to merge our ideas. For the bags I just doodled really, I tried to make the stars however equally spaced apart and corresponding colours.

2.) Did you produce the designs you wanted?
Yes I think my designs, especially the wrapping paper i collaborated with, turned out quite well. I used a red colour so the wrapping paper looks really festive.

3.) Are you happy with the results?
Yes I am quite happy with my results, especially the wrapping paper as I think it was done with a lot of care and too a very high standard. However, I think maybe I could of put some more time and effort into the bags as I think they look a bit shabby and rushed.

4.) What did you enjoy about the project?
I liked that the project was quite relaxed and fun. It was nice to just sit and make Christmas decorations with my friends and also knowing that someone is going to buy my products is a very nice feeling.

5.) What didn't you enjoy about the project?
I didn't enjoy how time consuming it was to make the products, for example waiting for the ink to dry. Also we didn't have loads of time to do all the decorations so most of the stuff is really rushed.
