1. Jethro Tull invented the seed drill in 1701 to make planting seeds more efficient. The seed drill ploughs a crater into the ground and drops a seed or multiple seeds in the hole to evenly space crops and prevent massive amounts of time being spent. The movement of the seed drill pushes the ploughs into the ground in evenly spaced gaps.

3. People in the past would have perceived the seed drill as a massive advancement in agriculture. This would be because farming at this time was not the most efficient means of producing food and with the growing population of the I.R, farmers were beginning to find it hard to produce crops in quantities that equaled the demand. Therefore by producing an invention that could plant large quantities of seed over large areas of land more efficiently and evenly than by hand, farmers could meet the growing demand for food. Not only this, at the time it was still a relatively cheap machine to buy, which would have made almost all farmers support this machines production.

2. Jethro Tull's seed drill had a major impact during the industrial revolution as it saved large amounts of work and time and inspired agricultural revolution. The seed drill worked as to drill holes and plant seeds all at once, this saved large amounts of time as it stopped workers from drilling holes then planting seeds. This also inspired alot of agricultural revolution as from here many inventions revolving around agriculture and farm work were created.

5. The consequences of the seed drill were immensely important as it hadn't helped grow more food and feed a growing population. The seed drill had cut time off of the planting process for food and giving farmers the opportunity to plant more food in a shorter amount of time resulting in a larger amount of food for less work, this was majorly important since the population was growing quite quickly, this would've supported this in order to keep the population fed and healthy at the time.

4. Many things changed positively during the I.R after the seed drill was invented. These changes would have been resulting in the boost in food production of farms due to the invention of the seed drill. Firstly, the main change that faced the I.R was the support for a growing population. With more food being produced, more people were being supported which would lead to an increase of people being born. Therefore the I.R had more inventors and more workers to continually fuel the advance in technology during the I.R. However due to the seed drill, many farmers that didn’t own a seed drill would have been competing with much more efficient productions. This would lead to many farmers going out of business and therefore more land would be left for the more industrial farmers.

Seed drills ever since Jethro Tull had created the seed drill, has innovated and improved the invention, making it useful in today's society for farmers. How trivial and paltry is the telegraphic column?" this can be inferred to have negative words such as superficial.

7. We believe the lives of almost everyone in the western world (both nowadays and during the I.R) were affected by the invention of the seed drill. This is because the long term effects of this machine not being invented would mean farming would not have improved at the rate it did. This means that the growing population was not supported enough and therefore the I.R would be unable to have taken place at the scale it did, with less workers and less inventors. This would lead to a decline in technology and all of our technology these days would be very far behind compared to if the seed drill was invented. Clearly the seed drill impacted the I.R greatly, and without it the whole western world would have been effected and pushed back in technological advancement.

How important were the consequences of this person, invention, event? (0-10)
The threshing Machine was the first step in starting the agricultural revolution. The consequences of this machine were very significant because it allowed humans to provide food for their countries with minimal effort and time.

1. Nikola Tesla invented the Tesla car which is a car the runs on electricity meaning you don’t need to buy petrol for the car. Nikola Tesla was born on July 9, 1856 in Smijian, Croatia and died on January 7, 1943 in New York City, New York.
2. It helped people do other stuff while going somewhere as it can drive by itself, has a safety check and very rarely crashes because the design were checked by engineers.
3. People first underestimated him because he wanted to be independent and not take deals from companies with a lot of money who wanted to have his product. People started praising him after his inventions were a success, which is after he died.
4. The cars became more modified and required lower and lower attention and handling. Is it also run by electricity meaning it is efficient and you don’t need to pay for petrol which costs a lot of money.
5. They were really important as it changed the future generation of car manufacturing and the way people drive and handle cars, now the drivers can pay more attention to the other people in the car because of the self driving mechanism that comes with a Tesla.
6. Because it is the only self driving electrical car that is available for the public and it was the original idea that no one can replicate even to this day.
7. Everyone who can drive and has the money to buy a Tesla will be affected because they will be the ones to use the car meaning it must be up to the standards that the buyer wants with their Tesla.

The Stephenson Rocket created more jobs as there was more rails being built. The Rocket provided faster transport, and with more jobs comes more people moving into the city, so the faster speed was useful. England’s society changed from a mostly rural and agricultural place into an urban and industrial area. The Stephenson Rocket boosted the production of natural resources, so England didn’t have to rely on other places for these resources. The way people worked also changed as they started working by the hour and being payed by the hour, rather then working from sunrise to sunset. Unfortunately, a negative impact was all the pollution caused by the new steam engine, it caused poor living and working conditions. On top of that, the new steam engine meant more child labour.

The way of life changed because of this invention, as stated previously, the way people worked and got payed changed, people moved to the city for jobs, and the conditions of working & living changed. Due to the Rocket steam engine being built, people changed a lot of things. They payed people by the hour, and worked them by the hour, so people worked a reasonable time rather then from sunrise to sunset, and got payed a worthy amount. More people moved to the city for jobs, the streets would’ve become more crowded, businesses within the city would’ve improved with the population increase. Lastly, the working and living conditions became poor with the huge increase of pollution caused by the new steam engine, the air quality decreased and negatively impacted the city.

The consequences of the invention of the Rocket were significant to the way the people of England lived. Their need to rely on other places for natural resources decreased making them more independent and stronger in the eyes of other countries. The change in the ways of working were also important as it effected how people lived, such as they’re early mortality rate due to being overworked from a young age and becoming frail. Though, negative impacts were also significant as child labour increased as there were more jobs, and not enough adults to work them. The huge increase in pollution would’ve had a big impact on the surrounding environment and the people’s quality of life.

What is the event/invention/who was the person?
The first steam engine was built in 1698 by British engineer and captain Thomas Savery. He invented the engine in order to assist people in pumping water out of flooded mines.

What impact did it have on people at the time? / how important were the consequences of the event? / what changed as a consequence of this event?
The steam engine was used for numerous inventions during the industrial revolution, most remarkably, the steam engine opened a brand new industry ; the transport industry. Steam engines were utilised to create trains. Trains greatly industrialised Britain by allowing coal to be transported around to factories faster and more efficiently. Consequently, manual labour and child labour was reduced as there was no longer a need for people to transport coal as the trains were around, greatly reducing the amounts of injury that came as a result of carrying copious amounts of coal. This invention impacted factory workers all around Britain, as the faster transportation of coal led to work in factories being faster, producing more product eg.

How did people view this person, idea or event?
Thomas Savery dedicated large amounts of his time to his profession, therefore he was an exemplary engineer who was dedicated to his craft. Consequently, numerous engineers and investors at the time looked up to him.

Why is it still talked about today?
Though steam engines are not utilised as often as they were in the during the industrial revolution, they are frequently used in tourist attractions as they spark nostalgia for numerous people (eg steam boats). Furthermore, historians still argue whether the steam engine was a significant invention during the Industrial Age. Finally, students discuss the steam engine as a part of their History curriculum, as people generally agree that the steam engine was a significant invention during this time period.

1. What is the Invention?
In 1856, the son of an engineer and type-founder named Sir Henry Bessemer came up with an idea to help bring down the demanded large quantities of materials - the Steel Bessemer Converter. He had previously created lots of other inventions, and from an early age was interested in mechanics and had an inventive mind. He succeeded in finding a way to rapidly produce steel ingots - with the Steel Bessemer Converter.

2. What Impact Did it have on People at the Time?
The Bessemer Converter had a large impact on society, as it was a major contributor to industrialisation. Steel was seen as a luxury metal, as the production of it cost a huge amount of time and labour, but when the Bessemer converter was invented, it allowed for more steel to be made in less time, with less manual labour involved. The more steel being produced allowed for cities to be built, which provided more houses for more people, which contributed to industrialising Britain.

3. How Did People in the Past View this Invention?
The Steel Bessemer Converter would have significantly improved the pace of technological processes, where people needed the steel for the other new inventions, or other important thing that needed mass amounts of steel, like constructions etc.

4. What Changed as a Result of this Invention?
One major change that this invention caused was that a lot more infrastructure was being built. Because of the large amounts of steel being produced and sold for cheap, cities that hadn’t yet been built were being constructed. This also allowed the population to grow, as the more houses that needed inhabiting, the more people living in them.

5. How Important were the Consequences of this Invention?
The importance of the consequences out of ten would be an eight, because it was an extremely important invention, because it led Britain into the Industrial Revolution with an easier way to make Steel, which was at the time, extremely tedious manual labour.

6. Why is it Still Talked About Today?
The Bessemer converter is still talked about today, as it was such a major contributor to the industrialisation and revolution of Britain. The Bessemer converter allowed bigger amounts of steel to be produced for cheaper, meaning that more buildings were constructed, which resulted in cities being formed. The Bessemer converter was one of the main reasons why Britain was revolutionised.

7. How
The Bessemer converter was the first inexpensive machine for mass production of steel. The inventions affected many lives due to the fact that it was an inexpensive method of mass production, so it was easier for the people who worked manually in factories and required steel to make new inventions to go forward in the Industrial Revolution, and also created lots of homes for people that moved into the homes made from the steel.

Dates and Details.

The water frame, created by Richard Arkwright, is a rotating frame that is powered by a water wheel. This invention was designed in an attempt to spin cotton fiber into yarn, or thread. First used in 1765, the water frame has existed since ancient Egypt times.

What impact did it have on people at the time and what changed as a result? The Water Frame impacted peoples lives at the time beause it invented a new, quicker and easier way to spin cotton fibre into thread and yarn. The Water Frame also helped develop factories by helping workers keep up the pace of production with the speed of machines. It also impacted the life of Richard Arkwright becase he gained around £30 million in todays currency. Buisness men and entrepeneurs started to see benefits of building factories. Once the water frame was invented, the production of yarn and cotton thread was then sped up.

How did people in the past view this person, idea or event?People in the past viewed the Water Frame as a invention was extremely useful. people believe Arkwright is the creator of the modern factory system and is now known as the father of the Industrial Revolution. This invention encouraged families to move to the area of Cromford and employed more than one thousand people.

How important were the consequences of this person, invention or event?

We believe the water frame was very important in the production of cotton thread and yarn because it sped up the production time, could produce more cotton thread and yarn and you did not need to be very skilled to work the machiene.

Why is it still talked about today?

The water frame is still talked about today because it sped up the production time of cotton thread or yarn because the spinning machiene could spin 96 strand of cotton at once.

1.
This invention called the Spinning Jenny was invented in 1764 by James Hargreaves. It was used as one of the major developments and inventions in the Industrial Revolution.

2.
People, at the time, had worked in factories some as labourers and some as regular workers, before the Spinning Jenny they had at the very most a worker working on eight spools of cloth, with this technology it advanced to 120 at once as it was so fast.

3.
People in the past would have been pleased with the invention of the Spinning Jenny as it meant less work per worker and also meant more cloth being produced to sell on to the market, which is a win-win situation.

4.
Plenty of things changed as a result of the Spinning Jenny, for example, the amount of cloth, wool and cotton produced and because there was so much of the materials being created it meant that more clothing would be sold to the people and overall just those materials alone would be sold for an exceptional price. With the help of other inventions it helped made the materials stronger for example the Water Frame.

5.
Because the technology was getting greater and greater, it meant that workers would be having to be left off of their jobs which means that their families wouldn’t get the right funds to live their lives.

6.
Many industries base their manufacturing process off of the Spinning Jenny just much more upgraded then the older one in 1733, they use the similar wheels and spindles used to push and pull at the materials.

7.
As the technology continued to be added onto the Spinning Jenny, for example more lines on the machine to produce more cotton and wool, it meant less jobs available for the people. This is still happening in present times as well, because technology keeps getting much more advanced people lose their jobs which is bad for the social perspective as they won’t be earning enough to live lives

The steamboat was utilised to effectively transport goods and products worldwide. This wouldn’t have been accessible without it. Powered by the use of water boiled water over hot coals, the steamboat allowed the travel of important resources such as coal, oil and wood. With the ability of steam powered engines it allowed boats to travel major distances. With this, it gave the advantages of London to travel to places to and for trading purposes and to receive stock [food and materials]. Before the introduction of steamboats, farmers only produced the amount of crops they needed to sustain themselves and their families.
