Why my family came to the United States?

My family were from Oaxaca,Mexico they can here to united state of America to have a better life.They came here to have a new life and leave the old life in Oaxaca.And my grandma wanted my mother to experience a better life here in America not in Mexico.Also to have a better life for the next generation because they don't want us to feel their pain.

What were the obstacles they met?

Some of the obstacles were money and what bus to travel all the way to Tijuana so they can cross the border.They were short in money and trying to see what they could Afford. My family were not sure which way to go to Tijuana but they found out once asking some people.And they use the bus to travel to Tijuana and they paid a "coyote"(Which is a person who helps immigrant to cross over the U.S to enter America).After that they made it in and start to collect money her in america.

What was going on Historically in the U.S during this time and did it affect your family.

When my Mom family came to america the inflation affected them since they did not have a lot of money to spend.And this made my family in a hard spot since they had to pay a bit more than they could afford.And since they were not able to afford a lot of things that they were able to afford.
