I guess I'll kick off the discussion with one activity that I use a lot in a Public Speaking class I teach-Role playing. The scenario can go from formal situations, like an interview, to something highly informal, such as a serious talk that parents might have with a child. I often give the students freedom when coming up with the different scenarios and then randomly assign them to the groups.

I will share one activity that I often use with my students. I will prepare some different kinds of jobs like teacher, doctor , pilot and so on , one word on one paper and put one paper on a student back. They don't actually know who they are. Then put students into different groups and ask their partners to describe the JOB but cannot tell him or her directly.
