Age 3/ First Calligraphy Lesson

One day my mother took me to the calligraphy class and Ibegan taking the class every Saturday for 2 hours. (Silent and "Seiza" sitting style,I practiced how to write for 10 years)

Age 9-19/ Piano and Music

My grandfather bought me an electric Piano and I started taking piano classes from 9 years old to 15 years old.

After graduating from high school I moved to Osaka(2nd largest city in Japan) and I went to the Osaka school of music for 2 years and through the school travel abroad program I went to New York, Florida and a Cruise to Guam and Saipan. Those travel experiences made me wish about learning English and living in America.

Age 23/ Big loss and found

I invested a lot of money in a popular English school but a few months later the school suddenly closed and I never got money back but one sign I missed was when I started to taking class I got invited to teacher's "good bye" party.

(*I found out later the school stopped paying the teachers at the time) and at the party I met my future husband. He got invited by his friend and he came to the stranger's party. That's how we met and 8 years later, we got married and had a small wedding in Okinawa and moved to America.

9/4/2018 Near death experience

It took 2 years to get my immigrant visa, and on that day when I was finally moving to America, the biggest typhoon attacked west Japan and really hit the airport. The airport got isolated and flooded and I experienced losing my life that day.

2018-2020/ Start Working in America

2 Weeks later I finally moved to D.C. and the same week I got a volunteer "Japanese cooking classes after school program"

Then a few months later I got 2 jobs. 1st job inside of the Union market and 2nd job right outside of the Union Market. I worked almost 2 years until my son born.

2020/3/25 Begining of motherhood

My son was born and I became a mother

March/2024 Became a Briya student

I became a student of Briya. Then 5 months later my son also became a PreK-4 student at Briya.

It created really wonderful memories, like myself and my son going to the same school every morning.

Future-Goal

I'd like to visit Japan every year with my son for my family and my personal goal is to reach 236 score on CASAS test to qualify to attend the NEDP class and more...
