Reflection:

Mirror- to get ready in the morning, doing make up, doing your hair, or even shaving

Cars: Cars have rearview mirrors and sideview mirrors to reflect the objects from the driver's blindspot

Reflection for safety: Materials like 3M that are used in safety vests or athletic gear that makes us visible at night when light is reflected.

Water Reflection: We can even see reflection from ponds or lake to see reflection off of water.

Smartphone screens: can be used as a mirror when the screen is not lit.

Refraction:

Eyeglasses: the curvature of glasses bends lights to allow the light to focus properly on our retina.

Cameras: Similar concept as eyeglasses, curvature of the camera lens bends light to give the proper focal point to produce a crisp image.

Rainbows: the sunlight passes through a raindrop, which bends and disperses the light to produce the colors of the rainbow.

Gemstones: Gemstones like diamonds refract light due to having a denser material than air, which causes to sparkle when it gets hit by light.

3. Refraction

   1. Eyeglasses use curvature of the lens to bend light to allow the light to focus properly on our retinas.

   2. Similar to eyeglasses, the curvature of the camera lens bends light to give proper focal point to produce a sharp and crisp image.

   3. Rainbows are a natural phenomena we see when sunlight passes through water droplets which bends light to produce the colors of the rainbow.

   4. Gemstones like diamonds refract light due to having denser material than air, which causes it to sparkle when the gemstone gets hit by light. 

   5. Pools can appear more shallow than they are because of refraction. They light from the bottom bends away from the normal as it leaves the water making it look shallower than it seems.
