To ensure you create an inclusive environment you must ensure that you involve each learner equally and at each level of their ability.
To achieve this you must be approachable to all, treat them fairly, be sensitive to their different levels of knowledge, understanding and individual needs.
Challenging behaviour must be dealt with as it occurs to promote equal rights and individual needs.
Differentiating activities will ensure different abilities, experience and speed of learning are all addressed and make each individual fell a valued member of the class. Simple techniques like using their names even are very important in making them feel they are important to the teacher and an equal in the classroom. The resources you use should be varied and express examples of a cross section of different cultures and societies thus promoting equality and diversity. It is important to make students realise that there is a bigger picture not just being part of their local community or country. The world seems smaller everyday due to the electronic connectivity and the sharing of images, news stories and social media and learners need to be inspired and feel a part of that

It increases confidence, knowledge, understanding, vocabulary and feeling your keeping up with the technological advances and opportunities that were not available maybe when we were in the educational system. ICT is an excellent way to share articles,
research the topic further and even send homework to tutor for marking etc. these essential skills allow you to become more effective confident, independent and might even inspire to continue to improve and want to achieve even more.

By creating an inclusive learning environment you can ensure that your learners can maximise their learning experience. Engaging with your learners and keeping their attention and interest you ensure they have variety and the best possible chance of learning. You need to create an inclusive environment to avoid learners dropping out of the course, feeling that they're not valued and that the tutor doesn't understand them.

Teaching and learning approaches are the methods used to assist in the learning process.
These can either be formal e.g. lecture, demonstration, instruction and are usually teacher-centred.
Informal methods are discussions, group work, practical activities and role play. It is usually better to have a mixture of both so as to reach as many learners as possible and be able to ascertain which works best for individual learners. That way you can assess that learning has taken place.
The formal methods do not allow for individual learning preferences or speed at which they learn so you need to choose methods that are tailored to the individual so that they feel inclusive and a valued member of the class. please find attached Edgar Dale's (1969) cone of learning and experience to emphasize the importance of using different learning methods and how well learners remember the content of the teaching after just two weeks.

2.3	Explain ways to engage and motivate learners.

Motivation is a powerful tool for learners to achieve. If the teacher can motivate their learners they are already on their way to effective learning. Geoffrey Petty breaks motivation and the reasons why learners want to learn into seven
sections. I will discuss three of his reasons for learning.
1.What I am learning is useful to me.
There is always strong motivation if the learner is able to use the knowledge gained from teaching sessions to make his everyday working environment easier and understand the reasons behind it. This is very true of my working environment. If learners are given the knowledge and understanding of the process, the process itself suddenly becomes transparent and the process is embraced rather than avoided.
2.I find I usually make a success of my learning, and this success increases my self - esteem.
This is a powerful motivating factor in learner achievement. Most humans have an element of competitiveness in them and want to do as well or even better than their fellow learners. As a teacher you need to take advantage of this by marking their work quicker so that they get to know how well they've done to motivate them more for the next target. This is also true in my place of work. When new members of staff arrive and need a one to one trainer it is only the most senior that get to work with them and go through their "work passport". The learners are very keen to bring new suggestions for new members of staff and want to show them how competent they are. Praise and recognition always make them more positive and ready to tackle the next challenge.
3. I expect the consequences of not learning will be unpleasant and fairly immediate.
Checks and test are vital to assess whether learning has taken place but also they can be motivational. Learners need to know that there are short and long term goals to achieve. By giving tests regularly you can assess how well their doing and give them assistance where needed. Be enthusiastic yourself, show the relevance of what your teaching in the real world.
This is very apt for my learners, that what they learn is relevant to their everyday work. Therefore you must make the topic interesting make use of novel and different activities and even bring in real objects. I find if I keep the students active i.e. change in approach, from computer work to brainstorming to crosswords their level of concentration is maintained and they achieve better

2.4	Summarise ways to establish ground rules with learners.

Ground rules are boundaries that need to be set at the first meeting after the initial icebreaker so that learners are aware of how you expect them to behave in your classroom. Three or four rules must be your own and non negotiable as they may involve their health and safety, anti social behaviour and be respectful to each other. All other ground rules should be negotiated and discussed so that learners feel included, have a voice that will be listened to and hopefully by creating a list, writing them down and putting on the classroom wall they will take ownership of them.
They should strengthen the foundations of appropriate behaviour and create respect for others in the group.
Breaking of ground rules must be challenged immediately to avoid misunderstanding to maintain control and respect.
This also makes learners understand that you, as the teacher, are both fair, respect them all as individuals and that you will not tolerate any unacceptable behaviour.
