Kids are younger and experimenting with harder drugs than ever before. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, this marked the sixth straight year that 60% or more of teens reported that that their high schools are "drug infected." 
     What about bomb threats and school shootings? The Educator's School Safety Network states that in the 2015-2016 school year, U.S. Schools have experienced 1,267 bomb threats. Reports have also confirmed that number has since risen every school year. According to USA Today, there have been 22 school shootings at an elementary and secondary schools in which 2 or more people were killed since 1990.  
     Safety at school is an on going issue. It has its own docking station that is plugged into the wall. The device has wheels and is circular in shape. The device acts as a robot strolling around a chosen facility detecting any alarming smells such as drugs, weapons, or bombs. The device is able to detect a specific scent up to 10 feet by analyzing the scent connected to specific drugs, weapons due to the scent of gun powder, and bombs by the scent of particular chemicals. The device has a display window and will send an alert via text or email with any detection it finds. School officials are quietly notified to reduced chaos and they will handle proper search and protection protocols. The device would stroll on a programed schedule set by the school official in charge. The device would be programmed to return to docking station for charging when needed. There can be multiple devices in use at any chosen location.
