His leadership role with this practice has allowed him to chair the radiology departments of two regional hospitals. Before settling in Florida, Douglas N Hornsby, MD, led a home hospice nursing organization in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Douglas Hornsby is a member of several different medical associations and serves as president of the Florida Radiological Society. Dedicated to civic and community involvement, he is active with both the Optimist Club of North Bay Village and the Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce. He is also a lifetime member of the high IQ society Mensa International.
