Overall the NY metro is unique in it size and level of constant operation. Other countries have advanced transit systems but New York is one of the most thorough in the United states. None of the rules are implicit and the rules that do exist are barely followed so they are not worth mentioning. Today though the bus driver was actually enforcing the limit on bus capacity which I have never seen happen before. I do not know the history of the area that I took to get here and I took no notice to the atmosphere. I suppose the purpose of a bus and train is for transporting people

All people have access to the trains and buses in new york. People may personally want to exclude others based on race or housing status but they are still there and that's more of a problem walking in the nation that walking through the metro.

The power dynamics of the state hold authority over the quality of the transpiration and I guess also the path they take.

The MTA is always underfunded and as said before, while paying is technically mandatory is is very often ignored.

All people can exit regardless of race, gender, etc.

I'm pretty sure the trains have cameras in the spot where they tell the time and next stop and the buses have a lot of camera primarily placed in the center so they can catch everything.

Maybe the fact that I am used to have metro system has made me numb to certain aspects of it that people coming from places without a metro might more easily notice.

A lot of history is publicly recorded since the metro is run by the state and very important to the lives of many people so they have to release certain information so simple google searches can reveal a lot.

Local business don't exist on the metro and due to the close proximity between the station and my destination I don't get understand how local businesses play a role. I do know there are a few shops around the exit to the train so they could probably interviewed to uncover information if needed.
