         <title>The purpose of this study is to determine if the language that a bilingual adult learns a new skill in has any effect on the comprehension of the materials.  I have worked with Hispanic child care providers for several years. A problem that I noticed from the very beginning is the lack of professional development opportunities in Spanish, more specifically CDA classes.  The Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) is a nationally recognized entry-level credential in the field of Early Childhood Education. It is issued by the Council for Professional Recognition. The CDA is designed for those individuals who are working with young children in all settings.  As of right now there is no face to face option for these courses in Indiana. I would like to change that; however, in order for modifications to happen, I need to show the need for the need in a manner that funders can understand.</title>

         <title>Conclusion--	Through this action research, I wanted to show the linguistic needs of bilingual adult learners. This information will help me better access the training&#39;s needs of the Hispanic child care providers and their staff. I want to help the child care providers gain a better understanding of developmentally appropriate practice when working with young children. I also want to make sure that these adult learners have the tools that they need to further their education in early childhood development. I plan to share this data with state funding sources in hope of offering additional professional development opportunities in Spanish. There is a large need for Spanish language training&#39;s/classes across the state of Indiana. If we can provide quality training in the language that the participants need, then ultimately the children of Indiana will benefit from these efforts. </title>
