I am the eldest of the 4 children that my mother (Janette S. Fernandez) and my father (Danilo B. Fernandez.) My mother is a Public High School Teacher, my father was a political figure (he died when I was 9 years old).  As the eldest, I am expected to be the role model of my siblings, I remind them of the chores that they need to perform, the typical eldest in a filipino household. My father was not the best man you could know, he does not have a job aside from being a barangay captain, smoked and drinked a lot (his income is not enough for his lifestyle). He often beat me up when I cannot do something he asks because I did not know how to, he also beats my mother too. I was so traumatized by childhood that I did not know how to accept affection or act affectionate, but I learned that I have traumas and I did not project them to my younger siblings. My mother was the sweetest person I have ever known, she never hit me, she has a more gentle approach on dealing with me and my siblings' growth, she tried her best to provide us whatever we wanted and needed even though it costs her own.  We are lucky enough that my fathers' side do not tolerate my father's toxicity and even after he died, they helped us emotionally and financially in every way they can.  We are a small family, but we are always helping one another. 
As a child, I always loved computer games, in the retro arcade — I was the unbeatable nerd in my area, and I was so proud of myself. I rock any mortal kombat games, or play starcraft on my mother's laptop if I have spare time. As someone who is always inside the house, I also read books that my mother bought, she is a feminist and I loved her books preaching about love and equality. I also like guns and explosives, I always experiment on my spare time different approaches to create whatever explosions I can. As a nerd, I was like the most inquisitive person in the class, I ask too much, I want to learn so quickly that I learned division and multiplication when I was 2nd grade. This then has enabled me to become the valedictorian (and becoming an Aboitiz Scholar) after my elementary years.

I was still an achiever in every grading, nothing much has changed. Up until my 8th grade when I represented my classroom at a Lakandiwa and Lakambini contest. I met new friends with the same interests, and my world suddenly became huge, they were the best, they cared for me, they helped me on my first heartbreak (Yes, I actually had confessed to someone and we became a couple, we were dating for 2 years until she left me for someone else). They are still my main friend group up until now, sadly, most of us had taken a different course in life, in the 11 of us, only 2 of us actually continued to college. We still meet at time to time though at times when  there are occassions, we still help each other at any way we can. In my Senior High years, I still kept them intact and I am still present on whatever occasions. Most of us play online games together from time to time and we still continue this up until now! Also, I kept an active friend circle and still got a 95 average on my Junior High, making me a high honor. I am now in Cebu Normal University! I started a BSED Math course since I have a passion for teaching (and also, debating). I love Cebu Normal, though the competencies are kind of difficult for me, I am coping up pretty well. I look forward to become a teacher, or a lawyer, or an actuary someday. I believe in myself, because I have something that makes me stand out the most — it's my passion to learn, and teach, and help people.
