As a child I loved sports, I was a huge fan of basketball. The photo above shows me and my twin sister on our high school senior night, and roughly the last time I decided to only have a mustache. Sports played a major role in my life, and is/was always something that was an easy way to feel relaxed. I played high school basketball for 4 years, and after many injuries I decided to hang up the shoes.

My days at the University

The picture above shows me and my friends at the SEC track and field championship, which we did win. I work for the university as an assistant for the track team, and it has been an absolute blast. That opportunity has been a great blessing, introducing me to my closest friends, and some insane olympians. The school has let me travel the country for free and I've gotten to see so many cool cities (Virginia Beach was the best one because we had an ocean front hotel). I've loved almost every second it (losing national championships is not the fun)!

My Teaching Journey

I graduated the University of Arkansas with a degree in education and a passion for helping young minds understand the world of numbers. My journey as a 9th grade accounting teacher began with a desire to make financial literacy accessible and engaging for all students. Over the years, I’ve focused on building a classroom environment where curiosity is encouraged, real-world connections are emphasized, and every student feels confident tackling concepts like budgeting, saving, and analyzing financial records. Teaching accounting isn’t just about numbers—it’s about preparing students for life, and I’m proud to be part of that process every day.
