One reason people should be more eco-friendly because global warming has been changing weather negatively. Lots of scientists and experts(including Bill Nye) have been looking at global warming patterns and comparing them with hurricane patterns, and they have noticed that hurricanes like Katrina and Sandy were really bad just because of global warming. 

There has been more snow and other types of precipitation than usual because even though global warming is heating the earth there is going to be more snow because the ice that is being melted at both the poles(Where global warming is strongest) gets evaporated and becomes a form of precipitation.

In Boston, MA, the Mean Maximum(the highest it gets) during the summer months is 96 F. In the past few years, though, temperatures have been reaching 97, 98, and even 100 degrees (The last 100 degree temperature was in July of 2011 when it reached 103 degrees, just 1 degree shy of the record high ever in Boston). Also, the highest daily minimum in Boston was 83 degrees fahrenheit, reached in July of 2019(compared to an average daily minimum of 65 degrees in July). If you look at Death Valley, the second above-130-degree temperature was reached in August of 2020. If the 1913 134 degree temperature is proven wrong, this will become the hottest temperature in the whole entire world! This means our world has been getting hotter and hotter.

Another reason why we should be more eco-friendly because more and more organisms are becoming extinct. More animals are becoming extinct because human hunting and deforestation have been taking their lives. Almost 1 square mile(about 1.6 square kilometers) of trees in the Amazon forest is being cut down every second! Think about the Congo rainforest, and all the other rainforests!

There was survey taken by almost 300 scientists that read that about 70% of those 300 scientists(210/300 scientists) believe that there is a 6th mass extinction(known as the Holocene extinction, named after the current epoch, the Holocene epoch) going on(or, the 7th mass extinction if you include the Captanian mass extinction)

The Great Barrier Reef, which is off the coast of Australia, a really hot country, was hit by a heat wave in 2017. It killed more than 30% of coral. If global warming continues, there could be even bigger impacts, possibly even killing 50% of the Great Barrier Reef. This proves that global warming is killing organisms.

The last reason why people should be more eco-friendly because it is harmful to humans. In just one week, there were two deaths from air pollution. Both were kids. Multiple news stations had this on their news.

Alain Robert, also known as the “French Spider-Man”, who is known for climbing multiple supertall buildings, including the Taipei 101, and the Burj Khalifa, unfurled a banner halfway on the Empire State Building. It read “GLOBAL WARMING KILLS MORE PEOPLE THAN 9/11 EVERY WEEK”. He got arrested at the top and they took down the banner.

Humans can possibly be one of the victims of the holocene extinction. Pollution harms the lungs, and it can be deadly for people with lung problems. If you try reducing pollution, you can be saving lives.

The first reason why teachers should give us homework is because it will help us review the things that we have learned so that we won’t forget. Learning something and just stuffing it in our minds isn’t easy. Kids need to review the things we learn so that the next day we won’t forget it. And if you do homework, the more chance that you will remember it. According to google, homework can improve our thinking and memory.

The second reason why teachers should give us homework is because it will give us something to do in our free time. Kids are always complaining that they’re bored. Doing homework in their free time can give them something to do.

The last reason why teachers should give us homework is that it will improve our test scores and make us feel more responsible. Completing your homework and getting a good grade on your test can make kids feel more accomplished and more grown up. Homework can also give us good study skills and habits that can help us throughout our lives. 

This proves why teachers should give us homework because it will help us review the things that we have learned so that we won’t forget, and it will give us something to do in our free time, and improve our test scores and make us feel more responsible.

 

 

One reason why we should all wear masks is that we can protect each other. One example is that sometimes when you catch a virus, you might not even know you have it! This is because sometimes you do not show symptoms. Another example is that sometimes, yougot some sort of virus and you show no symptoms, you can make others sick. Even though the mask might be uncomfortable and stuffy, you should always wear a mask when you go outside.

Another reason why we should all wear masks is so we can prevent a virus from getting into a pandemic. One  example is that if a new virus or disease started, and nobody knew about it we would also not know how dangerous it would be. We will not know if it is very contagious or very dangerous.

My last reason is that we could practice good hygiene. For example, we can practice good hygiene by always remembering to wear a mask, just like remembering to wash your hands before a meal. Another example is when you practice and always remember to wear a mask, you can get used to it. So then, the next time you go outside, you may just grab a mask without thinking. 

 

Those are all the reasons why we should all wear masks. Even though wearing masks might not be comfortable, we should always protect each other and protect the earth.

One reason why I think you should adopt a dog from a dog shelter instead of the pet store is because. The dogs in the dog shelters have had a horrible past. They need to get love, attention and care. They need more help mentally and physically. I would say they need more help than the pet store dogs. I also really wanted to get a dog from pet stores, cause they're just so adorable. But once I looked at dog shelter dogs. I knew they were the ones that needed help right now whether they're cute or not. and I eventually ended up adopting a dog from a dog shelter instead, and I never regretted my choice.  

Another good reason you should adopt at a dog shelter instead of a pet store is because they are very loving. Maybe shy at the first but once you get to know them, you will never ever be bitten by them, or scratched by them. (on purpose) They are not harmful at ALL. And it's because they are so grateful to finally be adopted. All dogs are sweet. But after a horrible fight from the past, not having a home! They try to not harm you like you don't harm them. They try to keep this home. They will try to trust you more and more slowly. 

The last reason I think you should adopt a dog from the dog shelters and instead of the pet store. They're very smart! The first time you teach them something they'll learn it very quickly.

And tricks won't be as hard. Since they have been abandoned before getting rescued, they're smarter than you will expect because they were already smart enough to build a shelter for themselves. And my dog came from a shelter and she's onto 7 tricks already. They're smarter than you think. And is eager to learn new tricks and use their mind now and then. Those were the three reasons. But if that didn´t convince you enough and now you are BUYING dogs at a pet store then I can't do anything about it. But it's your loss that you're missing out on this. Because there all you can have in a dog, they're cute, fun, smart, and they really need a home, and home life. And i know anybody can do that if they give it a good try.

      most importantly you're not saving only one life, you're actually saving two. 

Because while you're taking a dog out of the shelter, another one can get rescued and get put in.

 

Anti maskers should wear masks in this pandemic because if you don’t wear a mask, you will probably get infected with coronavirus and when you get infected it will be easier for you to pass on the virus to others, thus not wearing a mask is endangering others. The coronavirus actually kills people.

Anti Maskers say “ooooh nooo masks will suffocate me”. True, masks will cut off a bit of your oxygen supply, but it's only a bit. But it won’t suffocate you. Anti maskers are dumb. They’re like flat earthers. Refusing to believe the truth even when given a lot of proof.

Masks are good because they protect you from the coronavirus. They don’t completely protect you, of course. Nothing completely protects you. Some people think masks do completely protect you, but that’s wrong. Masks only prevent the coronavirus from getting into your mouth. You also need goggles to protect your eyes from the coronavirus.

But Anti Maskers just straight out hate masks. I don’t get why they hate masks though. It protects you from the coronavirus. Why do they hate something that protects you from the coronavirus? No idea.

A lot of Anti Maskers deny covid-19. Why? I don’t know. Why WOULD they deny covid-19? Hundreds, even thousands of people are dying every day of covid-19. Yet Anti Maskers deny covid-19. Not wearing a mask is making the number of people dying from coronavirus grow.

That's why Anti Maskers should wear masks.

Kids can hang out with each other,  Kids can learn skills, and Parents would like it. It would be great to join an after school club. It is very important that kids hang out with each other. One reason Bridge Lexington School  should run After school  club.  Is that kids can hang out with each other. For example kids can have nothing to do after school. Most kids have done their work and may be bored. If they  had a club kids would be able to hang out with each other after school. I asked my class if they think that Bridge school should run after school clubs only 18 said yes and 7 said no. Imagine after school you're just bored your sister is still in school and you’re mom and dad are at work. You want to watch tv but your little brother is asleep. Don’t you think Bridge school should run after school clubs? Another reason Bridge school should run after school clubs is that Kids can learn new skills. For example kids can learn how to play football not all of us know how to play football or other sports. Another example, That kids can learn to speak new languages not all us speak a new language some may speak English some don’t. That would be and kids play all sorts of games. Maybe kids would love to go to after school clubs and teachers don’t even know it. The final reason Bridge school should run after school clubs, Is that  parents would like it.  For example parents have to work and no one’s home to watch you. Maybe your brother or sister is still in school. This club would be good for both kids and parents. Parents would ensure that  their kids are safe and will be alright. Most of all  parents can complete work. 

I think Bridge school should run after school clubs. Reason 1 Hang out with each other, Reason 2 Kids can learn a new skill, and Reason 3  Parents  would  like it.  Are you ready to sign up for a club? Well I hope you do. You're going to have fun  and learn new skills. Maybe even play football or baseball. Clubs can be fun and also think of clubs as adventures. You learn something every day. Are you going to join and do you think Bridge should run clubs?

One reason why people should reduce climate change is because there are rising temperatures. For example, rising temperatures have made earth hotter, which made record breaking heat waves, and rising temperatures are making sharks coming closer to shore. This makes people more vulnerable to shark attacks and makes humans more vulnerable to food scarcity because of the very hot temperature. This proves rising temperature is a problem. Another example for why rising temperatures are a problem is that ice caps are melting and polar bears don’t have ice caps to stay on. Polar bears are losing their habitats. If they go extinct then the food chain will be unbalanced. This also proves that a higher temperature is a problem for Earth.

Another reason why people should reduce climate change is because the sea level is rising. The rising sea level is a problem because it might make some places that are close to shore have permanent flooding. The Netherlands is also threatened by rising sea levels because seventeen percent of the Netherlands is already below sea level and only fifty percent is more than one meter (three feet three inches) above sea level. This proves that if the sea level rises too much it will be a problem. Another reason why rising sea levels are a problem is that seawater is getting into our clean drinking water, and even though we can clean all the salt and other stuff out of the water it is a very expensive and complicated thing to do. This proves that if the sea level rises it can cause a lot of problems.   

The last reason why people should reduce climate change is because there will be more extreme weather. For example, from 2016 to 2019 there have been record-breaking heat waves across the globe, rampant wildfires in California and Australia, and the longest run of category 5 tropical cyclones on record, all because over the past one hundred fifty years earth's surface temperature has increased by one degrees celsius. That may not seem like a lot but it’s equivalent to adding the energy of one million nuclear warheads into the atmosphere, and weather is incredibly sensitive so we have been getting more extreme weather. This proves there have been more extreme weather events. You might ask “Well how do all those extreme weather things happen?” Well I’m glad you asked. I‘m going to explain how droughts, hurricanes, and floods happen because of climate change. Droughts happen when global warming makes the globe heat up which evaporates all the water causing droughts to form. Hurricanes form when global warming evaporates a lot of water from an area and then wind blows the vapor to another place that is cooler. Then the water condenses and drops down from the sky and the wind blows the water and forms a hurricane. Floods happen because of three things. The first way floods might happen is that a hurricane caused by global warming hits the land and floods the place. The second way floods might happen is that global warming evaporates the water and then the wind blows the water to a cooler place. Then the water condenses and starts to rain a lot, making a flood. The last way floods can happen is when ice caps start to melt and the sea level rises which causes places below sea level or close to shore to have permanent flooding. This shows how extreme weather can form during climate change.  

People should reduce climate change because there have been rising temperatures, rising sea levels, and most of all more extreme weather. People need to help the Earth by reducing climate change so that humanity and other animal species will exist longer to keep Earth healthy.  

 

The first reason that supports why we should make a moon base now is because we have the technology needed but a problem that nobody is funding it. The first evidence of this is that Elon Musk and other rich people having an occupation in the study of Space are able to fund the mission, but they have this illusion that getting to Mars will be more important of a task than finally conquering the Moon. They add onto the illusion, the accomplishment that they will finally be able to explore another planet. But, if they get the Moon first, they can use that to get to Mars more easily so they will be able to win the race. My second example of this is that we could use Aquaponics to survive and we could get water by harvesting it from the Moon dust. Surprisingly, people have learned while studying Moon dust that it contains a bit of water. We also have the expertise to make a machine that can harvest that water, which will be essential for the mission.

Another reason that supports why we should make a moon base now is because the Moon isn't as dangerous as Mars. My first evidence of this is that Mars dust is, by a large margin, finer than Moon dust, so Moon dust won’t get in the nooks and crannies of all our equipment and destroy it. We could use this weakness to build a huge dome and place it onto a platform on the Moon, and seal it shut so that no Moon dust can ever get in. Another plus to this is the fact it actually has water inside, as told in earlier parts of this essay. The water can be used to hydrate the astronauts and be used as water for Aquaponics. Water can also be used for other things like humidity, and more!

My final reason for why we should build a moon base now is because it will dearly benefit us! There is evidence that suggests this, in which I can show you right. Evidence shows that there can be precious metals inside of the Moon, and that we can harvest them for many uses. More evidence suggests that we can use this place as a way of depopulating Earth. As you may know, the Earth is getting overpopulated. We could conquer this interplanetary object to drop off a few, let’s say, BILLION people! Yes, the Moon can carry that many humans. And this, is why we should build a moon base now.

 So, in conclusion, we should build a moon base because we have technology but just don’t have anybody to fund the mission, it is MUCH less dangerous than dastardly Mars, and finally, it will benefit us greatly. If, in the future, there is war on earth, we could evacuate to the Moon.

 The first reason sharks should not be endangered is because they don’t eat humans on purpose. Sharks actually have very poor eyesight which does not allow them to see very well. They think you are a seal or some other animal they like to eat because of their very poor eyesight.  They would much rather eat something else. They aren’t as bad as you think.

 The second reason is that you are not likely to be eaten by a shark. There are only about 16 shark attacks a year, and to put that in perspective about 150 people are killed by coconuts. 150 people. Killed by coconuts. You are actually a lot more likely to be struck by lightning than be attacked by a shark.

Finally, humans actually kill more sharks than vice versa. Like I said in the first paragraph, sharks don’t know you are not part of their diet, so they don’t eat many humans. But on the other hand, people are hunting sharks and even putting them in food, even though they have mercury in them which is poisonous! I’m serious. There is food in some places called shark fin soup and it isn’t even shark! It’s beef/chicken/fish! They just use it for looks and the name!

So, i think that sharks should not be endangered.

The first reason why people should wear masks during Covid 19 and follow safety precautions is because if we don’t we will not know what to do and just watch TV which is bad for our eyes. For example Before Covid - 19 started I did not use electronics that much but then after Covid - 19 started I had to join school from the computer and sometimes my eyes hurt! Experts say that too much screen time can hurt our eyes, and we won't be able to focus on anything! Screen time can also affect our brain which is the most important body part in the whole entire body!! If we wear masks and Covid - 19 stops we will not watch TV and hurt our eyes. We will play with our friends!

In addition to why we should wear masks during Covid - 19  is because People can lose their jobs and if they lose their jobs they will not be able to support their families and won’t have any money! For example right now 12.6 Million people don’t have any jobs in the US! Those people are not able to support their families! Sometimes people who lost their jobs due to covid - 19 were not able to support 
their families and had to go to a food bank to get food because they don’t have enough money to get food for their families! But If we wear masks then those people will get to go back to work to make money and help support their families during Covid - 19! 

The last reason why people should wear masks during Covid - 19 is because If we don’t wear masks we won’t be able to see our family for a very long time! The top doctor for The United States Of America  Doctor Anthony Fauci says people should wear masks to stop the spread of Covid - 19! But Some people are not wearing masks and Covid - 19 is spreading. For example In California people are going to the beach during the summertime of Covid - 19 and that can be very dangerous! It can also spread Covid - 19! It has even been a Year since Covid - 19 started and people are still not listening!

People should wear masks During Covid - 19  and follow safety precautions because If people don’t wear masks during Covid 19 then we will not know what to do and just watch TV which is bad for our eyes, If people don’t wear masks  during Covid - 19 people can lose their jobs and if they lose their jobs they will not be able to support their families and won’t have any money!, If people don’t wear masks during Covid - 19 won’t be able to see our family for a very long time! If we don’t wear masks 12.6 million people don’t have jobs! Almost everybody in the US can not see their family! And people are damaging their eyes because they don’t know what to do! We don’t want people to damage their eyes, lose their jobs and not be able to see family for a very long time just because we are not wearing masks! These are all the reasons why people SHOULD WEAR MASKS DURING COVID - 19!
