This story is about a girl who inherits power of people she witnesses die. With this being stated, she must juggle with the consequences of possessing everything you want, and choosing what is right for the world, not just her. This story matters to me because it was made in an effort to demonstrate the beautiful parts of Africa, not just the poverty that we so commonly see. This story matters to my community because they can get a sense of how important morals are, and how the setting effects a place. Lastly, this story matters to the world because it is about friendship, making hard decisions, and experiencing new things. We focused on childish version of the story, and created a video that featured the culture of this story.The story follows the creation of the moon, which happens when after Anasi is saved by his 6 sons, he stumbles across the moon. However, he cannot split the moon, so he gives it to Nyame, the sky god, who hangs it in the sky.
