As forced labor policies were established, Filipinos were forced to work on industrial, agricultural, and infrastructural projects led by the Japanese. This provided similar concepts of abuse given by the Spaniards, attributing to the mistreatment.

The abuse became more visible; violence, massacre, torture, and rape were present in order to conceive a voice of overseered propaganda. This became one of the factors that influenced Filipino indolence, inhibiting fear amongst those who attempt to deviate.

In relation to media, Japanese propaganda machines were used to demotivate and control order among Filipinos. The Marcos Regime relied on the exploitative means of socio-political and economic control. This includes corruption, implicated through the means of Cronyism and his family's internal involvement within the political regime.

Cronyism became the advent of absolute control along political institutions, as they appointed their own trusted connection to take part in control. This further amplified the inequality and perpetuated poverty among Filipinos.

In economy, the Economic Crisis (1980) was born out of the severity of Philippine corruption. This includes the high inflation rate and debt surge. The dictator blamed his opponents and Filipinos, claiming that this was due to their laziness or incompetence in sustaining economic stability – the pattern of colonization through internal homage.

The Nazi Regime became an oppressive state, due to their racial ideologies, initializing the course of world war 2 after they invaded Poland in 1939. They used these ideologies to justify their means to provoke violence and hatred in global conflict.

The Holocaust is an example of the regime's systematic approach "to cleanse" the world from deviance. A genocide that killed over 6 million Jews, including minorities, war prisoners, and even homosexuals.

This event led to the discouragement of expression among people, as well as religious freedom. Colonialism was an eye-opening period for its development, either bound it through foreign oppression or aid, this pursued the justification of bias and conflict.

The recent former Duterte Administration was involved with these certain addresses of abuse. This includes the "War on Drugs" campaign and the alleged "Extrajudicial Killings." These became a rampant motif that attributed to the perception of indolence due to fear and inequality.

To elaborate, the War on Drugs campaign was primarily addressed to neutralize the ongoing illegal drug problem in the Philippines; however, it became an exploitative measure to tag targeted assassinations as drug users. This also eradicated the liberty of those who were willing to change their lifestyle, including those who involved themselves due to economic circumstances.

Similar to this was the Extrajudicial Killings, where people who are associated with drugs, crime, or even political contrasts were the main victims of this movement. The killings were observed to target entities who were allegedly opposing administrative decisions, namely advocates for human rights.

These events of abuse imbued an everlasting fear among Filipinos, as it further assumes the predominant stereotypes of indolence.
