The attached paper outlines the proposal, including the general challenges the University faces and how the current informal cluster system operates. The proposal to move from the current informal cluster system to a faculty structure is explained, including what the proposal might mean in practice, relative benefits of a faculty structure, and the decision making process. 
 
The discussion at this School meeting will also inform MAH representation at Senate, when the final decision will be made. You can also write to the Dean or the MAH Senators, Professor Sara Crangle and Dr Bill McEvoy to make your views known, as we will be representing the School’s views on the proposal at the Senate meeting.
