• Alexa is always listening to surrounding voices, hence the technology has potential to trespass privacy boundaries of the users which might just be having simple conversations, or even talking about top secret issues such as national security etc

• Alexa will trigger any voice commands given to it. There is some vulnerability to this as sometimes the system could mishear pronunciations and perform unintended commands instead. This could potentially lead to dangerous commands such as Alexa unlocking the door instead of locking it at night.

• Alexa should be trained to only hear certain voices before executing commands. eg the owners are to read certain phrases prior to ensure Alexa recognizes the voice and only executes if it is indeed the owner.

• For critical decisions such as purchasing of expensive items, the system should allow a treshold to be put as the purchase limit where the system would require some sort of authentication to ensure the purchase was intended by the owner instead of being accidental

• Alexa should allow the data to be viewed by the owner of the data so the owners can decide if they want to delete them.

• For security-related instructions and executions, Alexa should ask for authentication using passwords or biometrics to ensure it is not hacked by other people.

• Amazon should make an event where hackers would win prizes if they are able to hack their system. Frequent events like this would ensure the system's security gets stronger by time.
