  • They also used pictographs for telling stories.

  • Both were located in the forest near rivers, lakes, or streams
Known for:
  • growing rice, hunting bears, and fishing
  • They also made Wampum Belts
  • Wampum Belt - belts made from white & purple shells

  • The men would also trade with the other tribes
  • While the women took care of the children and made all the clothing
