Air quality is perhaps a hidden health issue people face ... we inhale these particulates but don't always notice the amount

Perhaps while in transit, air quality is not a main thought, but nevertheless the pollutants are there

Survey respondents not uniformly affected

Those who fill out the survey might not live on the major roadways that residents know have lots of air pollution. I think it makes sense for the 1st bar chart, as most will live on small neighborhood streets. I think not many respondents live on major roadways, like Route 60/Eastern Ave or Broadway. - Tai

Aligning with environmentalism

For the 2nd bar chart, I think this would indicate that respondents are mostly aligned with environmentalism, even if it may not affect them directly (based on the 1st bar chart). - Tai

Malden is a pretty big transit hub, commuter rail, orange line, busses, individuals cars ... even if you don't see this material in the air, it's there and affecting your long term health
