Islam is a way of life, as well as a set of beliefs. Muslims follow these five pillars: the declaration of faith, daily prayer, charity, fasting, and the pilgrimage to Mecca. 
It is a religion that is not forced to people but most accept it as it suites all mentalities. The spread of Islam mostly grew faster because of faith as the lord says to invite people with wisdom in a beautiful way.
