This weekend, I will be building a house in Mexico with my church. When we aren't building, we use one of our members' beach front vacation homes. My idea is to incorporate some sunrise, sunset, and midday beach play (we usually break early on Saturday) into the final cut, which I imagine will end up being over 1 minute. I'm also going to try to do some star trails as well, but considering that that type of photography is really difficult even without timelapses involved, we'll see how it goes.

What do you like about your timelapse video?

The music ended up syncing up really well to the transitions between videos. I also really like the end of the first video and the whole second video especially, though I wish I'd made the second one a little bit longer because the stars ended up coming out really well but not long enough to have a big impact.

I learned a lot through the process - I had never actually worked with an intervalometer before and they had always seemed scarily confusing, but once I did a quick read of the manual it was actually really easy to understand. Another thing I learned is timing between shots - over 4000 photos only ended up at 1 minute long. I could have taken a lot less at longer intervals and it still would have turned out just as well and not used up as much space. I also learned a lot about night photography, having only tried to shoot star trails once before. Overall, I learned a lot and it was a really cool experience.
