         <title>Will I be told in advance if my teaching is cancelled?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some staff may advise you in advance but this is not guaranteed.<br><br>Staff who are planning to strike are not required to notify other members of staff or students of their intentions so it is possible that you may not be told in advance and may arrive to a teaching session to find it is cancelled.<br><br>Unless you hear from the lecturer, Head of School or mas-support@sheffield.ac.uk, you should assume teaching is going ahead. If you arrive to teaching and after 10 minutes no lecturer or tutor has arrived, you can assume it is not going ahead and leave. <br><br>You should also not assume that if one lecturer cancels teaching that they will cancel all of their teaching. Staff may choose to not strike for the full period and so you should assume all teaching is going ahead unless you hear otherwise for that specific session. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Talks are still ongoing to try and end the dispute but as far as we are aware, the strike action will continue in to next week as planned - the last day of action will be Wednesday 4th December with staff returning to work on Thursday 5th.&nbsp;<br>If anything changes, staff and students will be notified by email as quickly as possible.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Unfortunately, as the Industrial Action appears to be going ahead for the whole of the planned period, we cannot say when our examination boards will be held, and therefore when students are likely to receive their results. We appreciate this is not an ideal situation but we will do all we can to ensure students receive their results as soon as possible, and will keep students informed as and when we have any updates. </div>]]></description>
