I also know that inquiry-based learning can provide many obstacles for students with learning needs, including an effort by the teacher to find appropriate resources.

I learned that inquiry based learning creates better readers and writers. It's not that good readers and writers are good inquirers. Note: I would actually like to see the research on this. Seems like it'd be far more of a complex relationship.
