Rachel and Chris should consider asking close family members to look after Alex while Rachel is at work such as Alex's grandparents as this gives him a chance to bond with his grandparents, however Rachel and Chris may feel they are putting pressure on their parents so may try to avoid asking them.
Another option could be nursery as this will help 9 month old Alex bond with other children his own age and learn skills such as sharing and turn taking, however some nurseries can be expensive which may not be a resource available to the parents.
A final option is child minding which is usually provided by a registered childminder who can care for the child in his own home in an environment where he is familiar with. This option is also expensive depending on how long the child needs to be looked after for.
In conclusion I feel that asking a family is the best option as it is the cheapest and gives other family members a chance to bond with other family members

Rachel and Chris could get a child minder for Alex this can be good because they have someone who can look after Alex when they are busy. It could also be a disadvantage because Alex could bond more with the child minder rather than his mother so their relationship could be affected by this.

They could send Alex to nursery this is an advantage because he can learn new things and bond with other people. It can be a disadvantage because he could be too young to start nursery as he may not be able to speak yet or socialise with other children he could also be too shy.

Another family member can help Rachel and Chris out if they are busy. This is an advantage because Alex will be used to them because they are related which will make him feel comfortable. This can be a disadvantage because he may miss his parents and could feel upset without them looking after him.

I feel that it is a good idea for child care because

They may consider nursery for the child as then the child is able to meet new children and learn how to communicate with others it will also teach the child to get into routine of the hours of day for going inot school eg 9to5. Although there is financial costs for this whioch may mean rachel has to worik extra hours to be able to afford it.

Rachel may consider a private child minder to come to the house this then gives alex the comfort of his own house and he is in a place he is use to , it may also help as he will be able to take his naps in his own bed and rachel will not have to worry about dropping him off or picking her up in a location for ceratin times this means she may not be as rushed. Although having a private chuld minder means you will have to trust another and alex may not get the benefits of leaving the house to learn new thisngs or meet new people.
in my opinion i think nursey is the best option for Alex as he will get into routine for later getting to school.

They may get a family member to look after the child while Rachel is at work e.g. Rachels mother, this would be good as the family member could then spend more time with Alex and create a bond with him however since he is part of the family if he does something bad you may go too easy on him as you don't want him to have a grudge against you, also they could put Alex in a nursery which means he would be able to interact with other children which would help him be more social when hes older however this could also be a bad thing as Alex may get too comfortable and happy at nursery as he is playing with children his age and may not want to leave. They could also employ a qualified childminder from outside the family as this means they will be professional and have all their training and qualifications so you know that the child will be safe however this can be very costly for the parents.
Personally I think a family member is the best option as its cheaper, the person you choose you obviously trust and know the child will be safe.

Rachel and chris could put alex into a nursery as it helps him to communicate better with others e.g. he will be surrounded by lots of children where he can make friends and learn good manners. although nursery has major advantages it does cost a lot of money and you will have to take into account that will the parent feel comfortable with Alex being supervised by new people and different surroundings as he may not work as well with somebody he doesn't know. Rachel and chris could also consider a babysitter as it is easier to finance and he will be supervised more and talked to more e.g given more attention, rather than in a nursery were they have to keep an eye on all children. although babysitting is a good idea it is not giving alex the chance to be around other children and play with them which is useful when preparing for early years. lastly chris and alex could ask a family member to look after alex although this sounds like a good idea as he is being supervised by somebody you trust and if familiar with he isn't getting to socialise around other children. personally I believe a nursery would be best for alex as he is communicating with other children his age.

one option of childcare for Alex is going to day care, which I good for Alex social development because he's playing with other children and another benefit of day care is it is convenient for parents that have to go to work and need someone to look after their child. But could make Alex feel like his parents don't love him. another option is Alex grandparents could look after him which would make childcare flexible for the parents and convenient but might not learn Alex interaction with other children to develop his social development. A third option is to hire a babysitter that can look after Alex in his own home so he feels comfortable and is convenient for the parent but might not work if Alex thinks he's been left with this stranger and his parents don't care about him and that his parents aren't coming back home. to conclude I think that taking Alex to day care is the best option for his social development with other children.

Firstly Rachel and Chris could send Alex to nursery where she will be looked after although she wont be there all day so someone would have to pick her up and it maybe ends before Rachel is finished work which creates a problem for them to her up. Secondly sending Alex into childcare and help to learn her manners which will be helpful to the mother and father this will also help her make friends and show her how to share with other children. i feel that putting your child into childcare has a lot more benefits as keeping the child at home.

firstly they could leave Alex at a child-minders and this will get Alex used to not having her parents with her always , however Alex may not enjoy being away from her parents and may not settle in. secondlythey culd also consider bring alex to a nursery group this will get them used to sharing and socialising with other children which could benefit them in laster life, it can also teach alex manners as she gets older which can benefit her in later life

Lastly they could consider leaving her at a ralitives home to be looked after this is good because it will give her a good bond with her family and get her used to being around them , the negative about this is they may not be able to take her a day leading to either the mother or father having to get a day off work to look after her.
overall I feel that leaving your child to childcare because it can help your child with social skills and help them in later life.
