Penicillin was not administered and or given to those affected and it caused a huge outbreak of the disease that we see today.

Stanley Milgram Obedience Experiment (1964)

Stanley Milgram did this experiment to “assess participants willingness to obey an authority figure and cause harm to others though doing so conflicted with their personal beliefs”. In the experiment Milgram Allowed a few of the volunteers to be seen as the “teacher” and the other selected few to be the “learner” and the teachers were told by the experimenter to administer an increasingly powerful series of electrical shocks to the learner and although none of the learners were actually shocked, the teachers were unbeknownst to that and sometimes would go higher in watts to shock the learner and this showed that 65% of the participants who began in the role of teachers didn’t quit the experiment despite how much they objected.

Laws Humphries pretended to be a member of the homosexual community just to observe things that went on in public areas called Tearooms. It was believed that the men who basically claimed to be straight in front of everyone else really was hiding being homosexual in which in the time frame of the 70s it was seen as almost a sin. Humphries did the experiment without the consent of any of the men in the Tearooms and was criticized heavily for it.

Zimbardo Prison Experiment(1971)

Zimbardo selected 24 male students from Stanford University and created a mock prison system in the basement of the school to basically test if reasonable people could become unreasonable and even sadistic if backed by ideological authority. Some of the participants were given the roles guard and some were given the role inmate and they acted as such and this included strip searches arrests and everything else a Norma jail would have to offer. This experiment could be seen as a fail due to the fact that the power got to some of the “guards” heads and Zimbardo became apart of his own experiment acting as the Warden.
