I personally would want to be remembered as a kind yet firm director who encourages but also yells when you have to and connecting with my actors and having emotional moments that captivate the audience and pull them in.

One that lets things happen to be as real as possible while also have structure

• I want to be able to show my work to the audience, meaning I want the audience to feel the same emotions the actors are feelings

• I don't want to be controlling or demanding, but instead understanding, and listening to what my actors need. I want my actors to make the best choices for themselves and to grow as actors

• I want to be proud of the work I produce and be able to have everyone express themselves in someway.

Directors Responsibility

-The vision and how they want the show to turn out and making sure that their vision comes to life from everyone in the show

-Being open-minded to new things from their team if it's for the better of the show

-Making sure that their team is in a comfortable and safe enviroment

What I would want to be as a director:

1. I would want to be really creative with new ideas flowing everyday whether that be for costumes, set, blocking, etc.

2. I would want to be very appraochable for my team. I would want people to come to me if they have any problems or concerns that they would want to get out.

3. I would want to be very open-minded, so if any actors, technicians, anyone else on my team have any ideas for the show I would consider it depending on if it's for the great of the show.

And I think the Director is making the stage a safe idea that the actors are comfortable and able to preform and feel like its their choice and not a "I signed up I dont have a choice to do anything besides preform" feeling a good director should make the audience see the play and feel what you want them to feel and have it leave a lasting impact on them and finally a good director should be organized and calm for example if a dog noticed its master is stressed out the dog will also be stressed out as a director is the head of the show

-Guiding the actors and technicians through the show process

-Interpreting the script and ideas from the playwrite and making them come to life on stage

-Building relationships with the production team so that the director is able to have clear communication with their production team

What I would want to be known for as a director:

-Communication! I want my production team to feel comfortable asking me questions and sharing ideas. I want to be the kind of director that is willing to hear other people's thoughts and possibly implimenting them into the show

-Having a safe work environment! I have worked with many directors and all of my favorites have had one thing in common: Creating a rehearsal space that feels welcoming and safe. I would nver want to place actors or technicians in a position that they feel unsafe in. This goes along with communication too. I want my team to feel comfortable telling me if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe doing anything I've asked them to do. However, this does not mean I don't want to challenge them. I want my team to come in excited to work but also prepared to work hard and be challenged

-Relationships with my team! I want to be known as the director that my team likes and wants to talk to, but also a director that knows when it is time to be serious. Having a good balance of both is what makes a show fun and a good experience for everyone involved.

The kind of director I'd want to be is one who's able to create a production that inspires people to go out and do what they want in the world, create a funny yet productive environment to provide a positive experience for everyone in the cast to encourage them to stay/ return for another production, and to be able to form relationships with these people that are more than just a director and an actor, and I'd accomplish this by creating public events for my cast/ allowing them to talk with me outside of rehearsals.
