Web 1.0 presented us a vast library. Today, many teachers in the classroom use Web 2.0 technologies. Web 2.0 offers culturally shaped tools for sharing and collaborating for training. By making it possible for the teacher to give feedback, education transforms into an active car, not a one-way street but a two-way traffic. It makes it possible for learners to express themselves, learn the experiences they are learning, and learn in an interactive environment with other learners. Web 3.0 offers much more for training. The intelligent devices that can talk to each other are based on education and software, making them private. Students can learn at their own pace, not at the average speed of the class. The personalized learning approach brings with it a vast pool of learning. If this data is processed correctly, students can be guided and learn with the most appropriate methods. The points collected thanks to the playing mechanics, the medals leave the kids, even the koskoca people motivating and helping them learn without being bored. What do you know about the best part? There is a very important chance to use these technologies to strengthen the equal opportunity in education around the world!

Maybe some students do thrive in a lecture environment; others might be great independent learners, who can gather information from educational software. Giving students the choice of different ways to learn means they’ll likely explore and try different techniques, and in the end, learn the best strategies for themselves as individual learners.

echnology integration is the use of technology resources -- computers, mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, digital cameras, social media platforms and networks, software applications, the Internet, etc. -- in daily classroom practices, and in the management of a school. When technology integration is at its best, a child or a teacher doesn't stop to think that he or she is using a technology tool -- it is second nature. And students are often more actively engaged in projects when technology tools are a seamless part of the learning process.

Students are totally engaged, they are active in the team, they seem to have control over their own learning too. I find that the technology integration in the teaching procedures presented is effective. It seems to encourage student-centered and project-based learning. In each school different tools are used by the students to complete assignments or create projects. Teachers act as supporters and coordinators in all cases.

From this problem issue, they search for information (used for example google), build their knowledge and use various collaborative tools (padlet, google doc, PPT, genialy, ..), present and share the results (stage 2/3) .

I was really impressed by the use of Socrative in the first lesson, because this webtool helps students working collaboratively and allows the teacher to check their progress and gather their results. In the second lesson, there is a more extensive use of IWB and the teacher leads students towards collaboration. Finally, the third lesson introduces Padlet and Popplet as collaborative work webtool.

I would place the second and third examples on the third stage of the Innovation Maturity Model, while the first could be ranked on the fourth stage, because students take control of learning using technology to manage their own learning.

With technology we’re able to incorporate the senses. So if students are looking at pictures, words will come to them that they can use in their ow work. With Socrative they are improving their written skills. I think technology can also help a teacher give feedback. Like teacher says, students can make recordings at home e send the recording in MP3 files.

The teacher in Italy put her students working in projects. It is wonderful that all these teachers manage to use this technology not only as a supporting tool for their everyday work but also as a key parameter to enable high-level collaboration in class. In the first case the Interactive White Board is combined with appropriate software to enable a modern collaborative teaching and learning approach of the Irish language while similar technology is used in the second case for international collaborative learning projects for young pupils. Finally, in the last approach, the proper use of all the software tools enables students to easily understand difficult aspects of biology. Also, in all the above cases, teachers and students seem to understand collaborative teaching and learning with the use of information technology as a part of their everyday school life.

First of all I think it’s great that in all 3 lessons students are active! Learning is centered around the students and digital tools are effectively used to meet the goal of the lesson. The first lesson pays attention to students that have difficulties with talking in a foreign language in front of the classroom. So I think it’s great that the teacher uses technology to make them feel more comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the second lesson video because I could connect it to my own 5th grade. They were so motivated to work in this project and lots of different leaner types were paid attention to. This is also a great example for a good collaborative classroom setting with the use of ICT. Plus, it was really authentic. Considering the last lesson, I find that the visual support made it much easier for students to understand these biological terms. In addition, it’s great for kids to explore things and then being able to share and compare results.

We have to see that they are students of lower age groups and it is precisely here that we need to "plant the seed" of collaborative work.

Thanks to teachers on videos. These videos enable us to figure out how we can insert the technology tools and devices in our lesson plans solidly. In the first video the teacher states that he is new at using technology and I feel like him. According to the innovation maturity model, learners are still teacher-directed, they can use techonological sources, learner are producers because they use the internet tool ( Socrative) to improve their writing skills and they can record their voices anywhere they want ( it is good for constructive feedback and learning outside school) they use the tool as an assessment tool, as well. However they are not on the level of extend and empower because the learners do not organize their own learning. I like video 2 and video 3 because they are great in the terms of seating arrangements, learners autonomy, communication, collaboration, collecting real data, analaysing them, considering internet safety (google drive- individual folders directing sts to reliable sources), choosing suitable learning and asssessment tools according to the subjects and aims(Popplet, padlet, visualizer, scanner, laptops, IWB etc.), discussion times to evaluate works( social learning), producing something, making video conference ( connecting with an Irish school)and collecting information from the real source and using English as the medium of communication. In addition, on video 3, not each pupil has got a computer or a tablet, this is a strength for us , too but the teacher is talking about organizing lesson well to solve this kind of problems. He is getting sts work in group to access the devices. He is making a good division of work.

One of the big themes I took away from the videos is that the preparation often is the most time consuming (I know that myself from preparing my own lessons with technology) but the lessons and the assessments after that go relatively quickly. We need to be patient in our preparation of lesson plans using technology- after that things will run much more smoothly.

Ana Fonseca, Portugal: I really enjoyed watching these three short videos because they are a reflection of what we can do to change the classical teaching method. All of them promote the involvement of students in their own process of leanring, by collaborating with their peers and finding their own ways to get to the final goal. In video 1 the teacher had still a more centered role in directing the pupils’ work by using the Socrative app. But the idea of using an app to record their oral practice on an MP3 format is clever. I have already used these two apps and I agree with this teacher, they are very interesting and motivating for students, especially for us, Language teachers who many times have shy students who don’t like to expose themselves in front of the class. So by allowing them to record their voices outside the classroom we are developing their autonomy and resilience. The second video shows us a strategy that I have also already used last year, Project Based learning, and that had magnificent results as students really like to investigate and decide what, when, where and how to do to get to a final project. This is very cool! I also liked the third video and I think students, at least smaller ones, like using the Padlet app to express their opinion and knowledge’s. I don’t know the app Popplet, so now I’m looking forward to check it. As a conclusion, I really like using apps in the classroom because they allow students to work collaboratively and get more motivated in what they are doing as they are the center of work.

The use of an interactive whiteboard is very attractive to assist in collaborative learning students perchèl'ho already experienced in past years, but in my school today because of restructuring reasons we do not LIM to work on, no laptops or tablet use in class, and after starting in previous years to take its first steps with the technology is hard to go back and make more effort to improve their loyalty and attention.

All the three activities proposed are very interesting. The first one might seem the less collaborative, as students mostly work in pairs, but this allows them to practice and improve the language in a much more relaxed and motivating climate than when they are forced to use a language they don't feel confident of in front of a whole class. This first activity also requires a remarkable amount of preparation work by the teacher. The other two activities focused more on helping the students actively build their knowledge, while the teachers just gives them some prompt and monitors their progress; the use of technology is more indipendent than in the first case - but it's also true that the aim of the activities is quite different. I especially like the product of the second activity - the time-machine - and the different steps which gradually guide the students to achieve this final result.

First of all, I think the three examples are very interesting and stimulating. It's difficult to place them in a specif stage. The three teachers are at easy with different digital tools, they combine technology with traditional resources (books, sheet, pens....), all of them change the class scenario (we can see students working in groups around a table, in front of a digital board , sitting on the floor), but we don't know how much support is given by the school, how much exchange of ideas and tools is made between the teachers... Nor do we know at what extent techonology is used in daily routine (25%? 50%?) . So I would place this three examples in stage three, although it could be higher if "collaboration" is indeed effective in the school and social environement.

The other two were also okay, however with the first video, I felt that students were using technology in a way that is not fully engaging. Ofocurse, it is useful to gather all the answers at once and present them on the IWB, but has this really engaged the students? In the last lesson I felt some of this also, but as the students got to try out various forms of activities (working on laptops, IWB, getting their hands dirty, workbooks, etc.) it seemd that they were much more engaged. Still, I like the second one best, beacuse of the use of various forms of resources, and connecting children with other, foreign, children in a meaningful way.

The three experienes are great. The first one, apparently is the "easiest" of the three of them. The teacher prepares a lesson in which a lot of technology is used and it is well- designed: the objetcives of the lesson are well- defined so the students know what is expected of them.
The second video shows an example of PBL and so, implies more collabotarion. The third example is an example of the last stage of the Innovation Maturity Model with lots of collaboration. The students learn and collaborate and the teacher is just a "learning-guide"

Also in my school we have eTwinning projects and sometimes we do the same work of Italian colleague.
In the third video, I like expecially the combination of traditional work and the use of technologies. The colleague says the device are not much, but I think this is good because the students should preserve the link with the traditional manual work: write by hand, use exercise books and traditional books, working with your hand held them to develop all the skills.

In each of the sessions would highlight:
* 1st Session: the immediate faceback that students receive from their work
* 2nd Session: the collaborative work being done, and the possibilities of breaking down space barriers. ICT allows us to communicate with colleagues from different parts of the world, and to carry out projects together enriching our learning.

A lot of the things that I have seen (a PC for at least two pupils, clean and clear classrooms with a lot of space) are not present in my school and I still struggle everyday with slow Internet connection and / or PCs going off the moment I need them.....
All this is very frustrating.

All three videos presents very interesting examples of using ICT in classrooms. I especially like the idea that encourage teachers who aren't experts in using ICT to try all the possibilities of ICT. In my school, we don't have a IWB, but that is going to change very soon. :-)

Great example of cooperative learning in the second video – so much interesting activities! Circle time and evaluation is very important to get information of how much did the kids learned.

Socrative seems very interesting, it's so interactive, but I have never used it. I like the idea of recording a MP3 and sharing with teacher or peers. Of course, the teachers preparation of materials is very important.

I can say that examples of learning activities is very useful for me because last year my school became a part of ICT project: “e-Schools: a comprehensive informatization of school operation processes and teaching processes aimed at the creation of digitally mature schools for the 21st century”.

So, hopefully, next time you will be watching a video from my school:-)

I think that the first teacher uses the IWB very efficiently: it is sometimes very difficult to give feed-back on oral presentations, because you can not always react on the spot and correct mistakes, and some students always fail to hear some words. By seeing the written version of the answer, everybody can be aware of the mistakes and also see some better examples they can use at a later presentation. The second video shows a lesson in which students can be in control of their own learning. They can use technology as a means to learn English, history, but also to get in touch with other students, use a scanner or the IWB. The third one shows such a relaxed way of using technology that it is not even acknowledged as something extraordinary: it's a biology lesson I myself would enjoy. :)
