The Tigris and Euphrates are rivers on either side of Mesopotamia. The land between the rivers. Now there are benefits for living in between these two rivers. One of them is irrigation, an invention the Mesopotamia's made. It's where they can move water. They used this invention by digging up the ground near the water. Then, it would move where ever they dug at. They'd use this system to water there crops. The rivers were also used as trading routes. Speaking of crops, since they lived next to water the ground was very fertile. Which means crops would grow amazingly there.
