This non-statutory resource has been developed to support teachers in delivering high-quality RE that is rooted in our agreed syllabus, while also addressing previously identified challenges—such as the inclusion of key tenets of the Christian faith and issues around repetition and resourcing.

The manual builds on the existing curriculum map offered in the syllabus and offers:

• Medium-term planning in a familiar grid format

• Key questions and activity suggestions

• Clear links to recommended resources

Whether you're refining existing units or starting from scratch, this manual is designed to be flexible, practical, and supportive. While knowledge organisers and cumulative quizzes are not included at this stage, the planning and resources aim to provide a strong foundation for confident and coherent RE teaching.

Luton SACRE, who commissioned the RE Teacher Manual to be of support and guidance to schools when planning their RE curriculum, would like to know

(a) Any feedback from staff using the EYFS and KS1 material
