Macbeth: King or Traitor

Recently, people have noticed some creatures that have caught their eye, the three witches. They believe that Macbeth has prophecy. The witches recalled what they had said: “ He shall be Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and maybe even a future king”. Does anyone really know if that is true? As Macbeth had heard the prophecy, he was startled. Macbeth wondered for reasons why they had thought that but they vanished before he could get to know his answers. How will Macbeth get to be King when Duncan is still a young healthy man, which gets everyone wondering about is it true or false. When the witches told him he would be Thane of Cawdor, what does that mean? The last Thane of Cawdor was a traitor. Does this mean Macbeth will also be a coward? Lately others have noticed Macbeth's suspicions around King Duncan.

Banquo has come to wrestle with the ‘Witches’ prophecy. When he asks Macbeth about it, Macbeth says he has given little thought to it. When asked Macbeth about the idea of being king he replies,” I saw something floating in front of me and as it appeared, it was a dagger pointing towards my hand. I knew at that time I was hallucinating.” Did Macbeth plan to kill Duncan all along? There was a rumor that Lady Macbeth got the servants drunk and then Macbeth went into kill Duncan for his spot in line as King. Macbeth had gone through the deed to kill the King but failed at the plan. Lady Macbeth was apart of it the whole time, she came up with the idea to get the servants drunk, kill Duncan, and then splatter the Duncans blood all over the servants and leave the dagger with them. Macbeth did not go as planned, he ran back with the bloody dagger to Lady Macbeth because he was scared he had killed Donalbain. Macbeth had felt so guilty he could not say ‘amen’. He said that “ I thought I heard a voice crying saying sleep no more. Macbeth has murdered in their sleep so you will not have it at all.” As he cries to Lady Macbeth she rushes out to take the bloody dagger to the guards and calls Macbeth a Coward. They both hear a knocking at the door, are they both going crazy? Lady Macbeth's hands are as reds as Macbeth's. Macbeth regrets what he has done as wishes that Duncan would awake with the knocking.

Fleance or Macbeth

Banquo has been reported dead outside of the royal house. Commoners came across the body during the morning and reported it. A servant said,” I saw him coming in from the dark trail with Fleance, I watched them get off their horse and then Macbeth called to me and that was the last time I saw him alive.” The Knights of the castle are trying to find witnesses to see who did this crime against an honest man. Banquo was cut on his neck and bled out as we were told by the Knights. Fleance escape, Fleance was found hiding in the woods frighten and overheard what he saw, his response was,” I could not move, I was frozen. I wanted to help Banquo but I was too late. Forever in Peace Banquo.” Others have come to believe that Fleance maybe apart of the murder because why wouldn’t he go tell someone what he had seen, why would he run? Macbeth answered,” I think Fleance did it, he ran and didn’t own up to what he has done. I told my guards to stay outside at all time, I don’t know why they weren’t there.” It odd that every time someone passes, it's by Macbeth's’ home. Macbeth knows the sons of Banquo will be King one day, he seemed worried when Banquo started asking him questions. Macbeth always has knights surrounding, so is Macbeth part of the plan?

Has Macbeth’s Conscience taken over him?

Tonight February 22, Macbeth describes seeing ghosts, others think its hallucinations from the guilt that is eating him alive. Macbeth asked the witches to reveal his prophecies and Macbeth was scared of what he saw. Macbeth said as he looked into the sky and twiddled with his fingers, “ I saw a floating head telling me to beware of Macduff, I couldn’t see it quite well. Then I saw a bloody blonde child in a white gown telling me no one shall harm me! A child holding a tree came up to me saying I would be safe until Birnam moves into the hills.” As Macbeth was talking he couldn’t keep focus with one person, he drooled as he spoke. It looks like his conscience was taking over, showing him what all he held in, is now coming out. As the knights walked by he saw Banquo but his death was a week ago. Macbeth muttering,” He was back, but how? I killed him. It was a sheer image of him.” Macbeth has become so scared that he has been caught as a killer impersonated as a King. His conscience is taking over how he feels and thinks.

Dear Abby: Woman sleeping walking because of her own guilt

Dear Abby: “I have been waking up in strange places around my home. I wake up sweating, and in chills. I put on my nightgown before sleeping and wake up in my dress clothes. I find these letters scattered around my home and it seems to be my writing. I have been feeling guilty for the actions that have happened in the past. My hands are so sore and blistered and I do not know why. Others have said I speak to myself around the chambers of my home.”

Dear Lady Macbeth: “You should not isolate yourself from others, you need interactions to keep calm. You need more help than I can give you in a letter. From your description, you are a prisoner in your own guilt. You need to see a doctor and a priest to forgive your sins. You need to see a therapist to talk and not to hold everything in no matter the subject of the problem.”

The man. The myth. The legend. Men wanted to be him. Macbeth means “Son of Life” Macbeth felt invincible, proud, and honorable. Macbeth always said, “ I will be someone great and strong.” He was not always a wonderful man, everyone has their ups and downs in life. He did not make the best decisions but did it out of love for his wife. Lady Macbeth wanted him to know he dies out of a result of being stubborn, reckless but that was him, he would not have made an impact on her life unless he was like that and she thanks him to this day. He died from his compassion for his beliefs by Macduff. He never listens to others but listened to what he thought was right even if it was in anger.
