I enjoy doing a lot of things in my free time. I like reading novels, singing, and dancing. When it comes to food, I don’t have a favorite. I like anything that can fill me up and make me feel full. I’m not picky when it comes to food!

One thing that people usually notice about me is that I’m always smiling. I try to be friendly and kind to everyone I meet because I believe that a smile can make others happy.

When I was seven years old, I decided to live with my grandmother. I thought it would be better because she was getting older and didn’t have anyone to stay with her. I wanted to help her and keep her . I’m glad I made that decision because it made her happy, and I could also take care of her.

Right now, I am studying at Cebu Technological University - Tuburan Campus. I’m in my second year of college, and I’m working hard to finish my studies. I want to graduate and make my family proud. They are very important to me, and I want to help them in the future.

That’s a little about me.

My parents worked as farmers, and my mother helped my father with the chores. We didn’t have much, but we always had enough to sustain us.

When I was seven years old, I made the decision to live with my grandmother. My grandfather had passed away, and my grandmother was left alone with no one to care for her. 

She was also getting older, so I thought it would be best to stay with her and keep her.

 Living in the mountains was challenging, because we didn’t have money, but we were rich in love and happiness.

Life was simple and sometimes difficult. When there was no food to cook, we would go to the river to catch fish so that we could have something to eat. Despite these hardships, our family was contented. We had enough to survive, and our hearts were full of love for one another.

As I reflect on those years, I realize how much they shaped my determination today. Growing up in such conditions inspired me to work hard and strive for a better life. I want to uplift my family from poverty, to provide them with a life that is more comfortable than the one I knew growing up. It is my goal to ensure that we never have to face the same struggles again.

I started my education at Sumon Elementary School, which was conveniently located near my home. During my elementary years, I worked hard and was honored to graduate with distinctions. I earned recognition as an honor student in Grade 1, Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6. I was always motivated to do my best, and these accomplishments were the result of my dedication to my studies.

After elementary school, I continued my education at Ireneo V. Diamante National High School. The school was located quite far from our home, and getting there was no easy task. I had to cross rivers and mountains, walking for about three hours each day to reach school. This made my journey to school quite challenging, but I was always determined not to be late. I woke up at 3:00 AM to ensure I would get to school on time. Despite the difficulties, I was proud to be recognized as an honor student again in Grade 9 and Grade 12, eventually graduating from senior high school with flying colors.

Currently, I am continuing my studies at Cebu Technological University, Tuburan Campus. I am in my second year of college, pursuing my course in Bachelor of Industrial Technology with a major in Electronics Technology. It is a demanding course, but I am committed to finishing it and making my dreams a reality. I am focused on my studies and determined to succeed, not just for myself but also for my family and future career.

My hard work, perseverance, and dedication. From my early years in elementary school to my current college studies, I have faced numerous challenges but have always strived to succeed. I am excited about the future and look forward to completing my education and achieving my dreams.

I also love reading novels. Reading books allows me to escape into different worlds. I get to meet new characters, go on exciting adventures, and learn lessons from the stories. It helps me use my imagination and makes me feel like I’m part of the story.

Another thing I enjoy doing is scrolling through TikTok. On TikTok, I can watch short, funny, or creative videos. It’s a good way relax and see what other people are doing. Sometimes, I even find new ideas that inspire me.

Aside from these activities, I also love being near the sea. Whenever I go to the beach, I feel like all my stress disappears. The sound of the waves and the fresh air help me calm down and forget about my worries. Swimming in the sea or just sitting by the shore makes me feel peaceful and happy.

However, there are times when I’m not in the mood to do anything. On days like that, I like going to quiet places, especially the mountains. I enjoy the peace and quiet of being surrounded by nature. It’s a perfect place to think about my future and what I want to achieve. Being alone in the mountains helps me clear my mind and focus on what’s important.

However, the biggest challenge and accomplishment for me came when I graduated from Senior High School at Ireneo V. Diamante National High School with honors. It wasn’t just the honor that made me proud, but the journey to get there. The school was far away from home, and I had to walk for three hours just to get there. The road was difficult to travel, especially since there were no vehicles that could pass through because of the rough path, full of rocks and streams. During the rainy season, it would flood, making the journey even harder. Despite all these obstacles, I managed to finish my studies and graduate with honors.

What makes me proud is not just the recognition, but the effort, hard work, and determination that I put into overcoming all the challenges along the way. I am proud of myself for not giving up and for pushing through, no matter how difficult it was.

My proudest accomplishments are not just about the awards or honors I received, but about overcoming the struggles and challenges in my life. They taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and believing in myself. These experiences shaped me into who I am today, and I will always be proud of how far I’ve come.

I faced setbacks and obstacles and tested my courage and resolve. Each obstacle seemed like a mountain to high to climb, but i didn't give up. I kept going, one step at a time, learning and growing with each challenge.

Slowly, i began to see changes.

The struggles that once held me back became oppotunities for growth. I learned to adapt, to preserve, and to find solutions where others saw only problems. Every set back became a lesson, every failure a stepping stone toward success.

Another funny dream I had was that when I got married, I wanted my husband to be from Korea. I don’t know why, but I just thought it would be so cool to have a husband from a different country. I pictured us living in a beautiful place, speaking a different language, and having an amazing life together. It was a fun thought, even though I didn’t really know what it would be like for real.

Sometimes, I would imagine that I was in a fancy place, surrounded by luxury, and everything in my life was perfect. I would picture myself being super confident, walking around with a big smile on my face, and feeling like the richest person in the world. Even though I was just daydreaming, it made me feel happy and full of energy.

But deep inside, I knew that these dreams were just my imagination. I wasn't really as confident as I thought, and I didn’t know if everything I imagined would actually come true. Still, dreaming about all these things made me feel hopeful. It was fun to think about what the future might bring, even if I wasn’t sure what would really happen.

Looking back, I realize that these dreams were just a way for me to imagine a life full of adventure, success, and happiness. It’s funny how our minds work when we're young—always dreaming, always imagining something better. Maybe one day, some of these dreams will come true, or maybe new dreams will take their place. But for now, it’s nice to look back at those fun thoughts and laugh about how big and bright my dreams were.

 Resilience, It's important to be strong during tough times. Life can throw unexpected challenges at us, and we need to keep fighting through them. 

Gratitude, Appreciate the simple things in life, like good health and the people around you. It’s not about having everything but being thankful for what you do have.

My lola and lolo have taught me many important lessons in life. They show me what it means to work hard and never give up, no matter how hard things get. They always tell me that even though life is full of difficulties, I should keep going and face each problem with courage. Their words and actions give me strength to keep fighting for my dreams.

Whenever I feel like giving up, I think of them, and their support gives me the motivation to keep pushing forward. My lola and lolo are the reasons why I strive to be the best that I can be. They believe in me so much, and their faith in me makes me want to succeed even more.

Because of them, I know the importance of family and how powerful love and support can be. They are not just my grandparents; they are my role models, my strength, and my biggest inspiration. Thanks to them, I am learning to face challenges head-on and never back down, no matter what.
