The goal of this method is assimilationist, and to get students using less of their L1 in the classroom and more of the L2. The reasoning behind this method is that it makes sense to prepare the student in the language that is going to give them the most economic opportunity. This method is considered a weak form of bilingual education (Baker &amp; Wright, 2021).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Bilingual education in NYS is centered around keeping student's bilingualism and helping it grow. Unfortunately I had no education major friends either not in this class already or who had time to watch this video, so I asked my Psychology major housemate to watch the video. His response and I quote was, "This is too monotoned. This is something that they play on loops at prisons to get people to confess. I guess it is educational though." So unfortunately I was not able to get any sort of higher level thoughts than that. </div>]]></description>
