Lets remember that the second set of numbers will be the longer hand. The long hand will be on the 32 mark, we want to count by 5's and go 1:5 2:10 3:15 4:20 5:25 6:30. Once we get to the 6 we will want to move the hand over towards the 7 by 2 little marks.
In the end you will get a clock that looks like this!

Once you've learned how to tell time, you may hear people using terms that you are not familiar with. Terms like five past or twenty-five to are nice to know when you want to say it out. The way you do it is pretty simple and you need to pay attention to the long hand for this! You want to remember back to when you learned to count by 5's. When the long hand is on the 1, you can say it like "five past." It is said like this because the long had is 5 minutes PAST the 12. All the way up until the 6 you can use "past."
When you get to the numbers are after 6 you will start to use "to." When the long hand is on the 7 you will need to count to the left from the 12 by 5's until you reach where the long hand is. When the long hand is on the 10 you can say it like "ten to." It is said like this because the long hand is ten minutes "TO" the 12.
