Pro: Some theorical classes can be really done by the students at home , we can teach them with a YouTube tutorial , which allows them to rewatch it as Many times as they need and then, we can dedicate presential classes to practical and more motivating exercises. There , I can pay attention on the mistakes and correct them . They improve in situ...
Con:
Spanish educational sustento is still too old fashionated. Teachers speak, students listen.
What is more, not open minders students or patents can complain when asking them to watch a vídeo at home on their own and say: What is the teacher for?
It is still difficult but we have to try..

I think it's only a fashion approach. We know that students don't watch videos at home and they don't make any research. We can't force them to use the Internet and it happens that their home connection fails and so on. Furthermore in our classes there are many students and it's impossible to arrange the desks as we like. In conclusion, the flipped classroom doesn't work!

Pro: students will watch or listen to the teachers/contents at home, before the class. When they are in the classroom they do their activities / home work, collaborativelly, and the teacher "insted of beeing the teacher" is more like a coach, supporting students in becoming self-directed learners. I belive in small classes it really works and it is a very good and motivating metodology.
Con: do all of our students work at home?

It's a pity but not all of our students are ready to work hard and seriously at home. They can't realize that those who study by themselves have seven times results better than others. The flipped classes will be an ideal variant for future, to my mind but not now. On the one hand, it's necessary to try, maybe to choose a group of students and make an experiment. On the oher hand, what about their health: too much time indoors working with computres

I have tried this model with my classes but not all the students carried out the tasks. I believe in this approach as it improves students' achievement and involves them in their own education but obviously there are some problems in using it every day. Anyway, what is important is that it is forcing teachers to reflect on their practice and rethink how they reach their kids...worthwhile indeed!
