Go straight to the point]. I would then think that increasing the amount of allowance [L2/3] would encourage fellow male Singaporeans to serve NS because out there, there are many male Singaporeans yet to be enlisted whilst being poor at the same time, they may have younger siblings and adults that are unable to work which results in them being the only one to support the family. If he were to be enlisted with the current allowance, the amount of money may not be able to support everyone in his family for a month. Increasing the amount of allowance by serving NS not only benefits those kind of people, but it also give them time to consider that there is some form of support that the government give when the enlistees shows their loyalty towards Singapore which results in lesser defaulters in the future. [so how would this make Singaporeans feel? and how would this encourage them to serve NS]

This can allow more NS men to consider serving NS and to help serve the nation during NS . They also can have more allowance to spend on their basic needs and help to support their own family members . With the increase of allowance , they will have lesser income issues . They will then feel more excited and have the positive thought to serve NS. [why would having positive thoughts about NS encourage them to serve NS?] Therefore , this will encourage Singaporeans to serve NS more .
