Food and Drug Department of NZ's government sets out rules for limits for NZ restaurants.

Economic:  How much taxes are restaurants forced to pay? or GST? What about cost of petrol rising affects the economic value of the food transport or international transport, Macca NZ uses.  How is NZs exchange rate compared to other countries?  this will affect the amount and quality of raw product Maccas NZ can buy.

Socio-cultural:  Demographics of the agegroups eating fastfoods are changing..Certain agegroups are eating healthier fare (not McDees) while others are eating fast food at stabilised rates.  Push for healthy eating at schools are setting up an unhealthy future for MCDonalds future consumers.  

Technology: MCDees in NZ has recently added self-service technology kiosks in different stores around NZ, as well as signing up with UBER to get McDonalds delivered as homedelivery to NZ customers, which consumers can order online.  MCDees also has a comprehensive NZ website answering a lot of consumer questions, as well as their ordering software data base.  These technology options help MCDees stay in the awareness of consumers young and old, and for convenience.

Environmental:  Recently McDees NZ made commitment to no plastic straws (lets just not look at that hugely massive elephant in the room of using plastic cups and everything else! hello!!...?), anyways :-), this is a start, albeit the tiniest one possible I think!! Still use GModified potatees for ze chips I think?*People will be looking at the source of their food...is it organic? so did it treat soil well? the animals? air e.t.c and also the humane treatment and death of any animals involved.  This I think is what people are looking at more and more in NZ with McDees, not sure they are suceeding...Although they do use free range eggs.but it aint SPCA so could be vastly improved on the humane front.   

Legal: Health, Hygiene and Food Safety requirements up to date with NZ Law. Consumer Law - ensuring no gross misrepresentation (e.g image of advertised burger different from what was delivered...:-)). Minimum wage legal requirements, and lunch break requirements, casual worker legal requirements.
