-Hot deserts: North and South America, North Africa and Central Australia.

Most of them are nocturnal and have a thick overcoat that keeps them insulated from the heat. To overcome the lack of water, they have adaptations that retain the few water from food and moisture and don't lose a lot. 
The animals that live in the hot desert are mostly reptiles (snakes, lizards) insects (scorpions) and some rodents.

In some deserts, rain doesn't fall for years.

-Cold deserts get more rainfall (which is in form of soowor fog) than hot deserts. The temperatures of cold deserts are usually between 0ºC and 4ºC.

-Hot deserts daytime temperatures can be over 38ºC in the daytime and below - 4ºC in the evening.

In cold deserts are long cold​ winters and short warmer summers.

¬By the day, it's very hot reaching more than 50°C due to the shortwave solar radiation. At night, it's very cold since it decreases to 0°C due to the loss of shortwave solar radiation.

¬Examples:
- Sahara Desert:
The hottest and coldest temperatures are 59°C and -21°C. The typical plants and animals you can find here are succulents, palms, prickly bushes, cheetah, fox, gazelle, dromedary,yellow scorpion, goat and others.
- Gobi Desert:
The hottest and coldest temperatures are 38°C and -47°C. The typical plants and animals you can find here are batis, bindweed, wild garlic, snow leopard, gobi bear, bactrian camel, gray wolf, golden eagle and others.
