When she got into Pakistan she was thinking about going to Afghanistan she heard a story about a women who was kidnaped for a few weeks then released. She doesn't fully know what happened to her but she, like anyone, would imagine horrible things. She ignores her gut and perseveres to go there. She developed a relationship with him and they grew together. Until one day he told her that he had a girlfriend back in England. This threw her off but he wanted to explain it to her to see if there was any possible at scrapping this falling apart relationship. He explains how they're close to breaking up and how that it was inevitable that they would. So she continues with her life and they start a long distance relationship; her in Canada and him in Australia.  Until One day he calls her while he's crying on the phone explaining that he never broke up with her yet and that he was married to her. He went on to explain how much of a mistake marring her was and he needed to divorce her. Some of which were the fact that the other reports that were talking about the war were very experienced and working for major companies. Another fact is that one of her Idle news reporters got kidnapped very recently after she saw her reporting on the war.
