         <title>4 Strategies for Line Editing &amp; Proofing</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Strategy #1:</strong> Read your work aloud, preferably with another person.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Strategy #2:</strong> Proof &amp; Line Edit by making multiple passes of the draft–each pass with a different focus in mind for each pass (i.e. pass #1: Run-on sentences, pass #2: commas).&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Strategy #3: </strong>If a sentence is confusing, try to find a way to shorten it.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Strategy #4: </strong>If a sentence seems overly wordy, find the main subject, verb and object of the sentence and rewrite it, starting with the subject and keeping the subject, verb, object as close together as possible.</p>]]></description>

It is easier to spot errors or create room for improvement if someone else listens to your essay being read aloud, not knowing anything about it. </p><p><br/></p><p>Strategy 2: Don't understand</p><p><br/></p><p>Strategy 3: Typically, confusing or overwhelming sentences are really long, with some unnecessary segments in it.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>strategy #1: </strong>Reading with a another person can give you more opinions about your work to better your work. </p><p><strong>Strategy #2: </strong>Reading it over and over can help the reader better understand or even letting the info sink in.<strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Strategy #3: </strong>When rereading your text and the sentence is stating different topics, you have to shorten it to one topic.  </p><p><strong>Strategy #4:</strong> By<strong> </strong>rewriting a long and wordy sentence you have to shorten it to not lose the reader by it being too long. </p>]]></description>
