Bo starts to prepare a roast beef as Leo talks about what he did at school. After Leo was talking to Isla about his 'his next t-shirt', Bo takes Isla for a walk. As they looked at the houses along the streets, Isla referred to the town as "old stone, carved out of the earth long ago." As they talk about how the people in the town didn't make a dent, and how it was "static - stuck" it also states how the sadness of people had never been washed away "nor by fire or flood. by earthquake or by demolition. It was all still there, waiting and heavy". 
"I like to walk," Bo said.

Isla refers to the town being "a stone city. Old stone". She also makes references to how the town is "frozen - still - the scene almost exactly the same as it would have been a hundred years before".
